Efficacy of different rehabilitation therapies on post-stroke aphasia patients: A network meta-analysis.
Although several rehabilitation interventions are effective in post-stroke aphasia (PSA), the efficacy of different rehabilitation interventions compared to each other remains controversial. Here, we aimed to compare the effectiveness of varying rehabilitation interventions in PSA. ⋯ The 8 rehabilitation interventions have different focuses in improving the speech function of PSA patients, and the clinical therapists can select the optimal rehabilitation interventions in a targeted manner according to the results of this NMA and the patients' conditions and other relevant factors.

A meta-analysis of recombinant human endostatin combined with NP regimen for treating non-small cell lung cancer.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of recombinant human endostatin in combination with vinorelbine + cisplatin (NPE) for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). ⋯ Compared with NP (vinorelbine + cisplatin) regimens for patients with advanced NSCLC, NPE regimens improve the total effective rate and clinical benefit rate of treatment, but there can be no significant difference in adverse effects. Prospective randomized trials are needed to further validate the safety and efficacy of this treatment modality.

Deaths from COVID-19 are concentrated in older adults, and studies have reported that physical activity (PA) can reduce the risk of death from pneumonia. ⋯ This meta-analysis showed that PA was associated with a reduced risk of dying from pneumonia in middle-aged and older adults, and that there was a significant nonlinear negative dose-response relationship between PA levels and the risk of dying from pneumonia. Therefore, moderate exercise was recommended.

Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma of the lacrimal gland: A case report and literature review.
The most common subtype of primary lymphoma of the ocular adnexa is the mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) subtype. MALT lymphoma of the lacrimal gland is relatively rare among the lacrimal gland tumors, and the early clinical symptoms are atypical, which can easily lead to misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis. Here, we report a case of MALT lymphoma of the lacrimal gland and explore its clinical manifestations, pathological characteristics, management, and pathogenesis, with the aim of helping clinicians gain an in-depth understanding of ocular adnexal MALT lymphoma. ⋯ The clinical manifestations of MALT lymphoma are heterogeneous. Imaging examination is important for assessing the size of the tumor and its relationship with adjacent tissues. Postoperative pathological examination may provide further evidence for the evaluation of the patient's surgical efficacy and prognosis. Management of MALT lymphoma of the lacrimal gland requires a multidisciplinary approach involving ophthalmologists, hematologists, and radiotherapists.

Cholecystitis may decrease the risk of sudden death: A 2-sample Mendelian randomization study.
Some observational studies have highlighted a significant association between cholecystitis and factors leading to sudden death; however, the specific relationship between the 2 has not been fully elucidated. The primary objective of this study was to elucidate the causal interplay between cholecystitis and augmented risk of sudden cardiac death. We used large-scale genetic summary data from genome-wide association study, genetic summary statistics were sourced from 3 eminent repositories: the UK Biobank (N = 463,010), the FinnGen consortium (N = 215,027), and the European Bioinformatics Institute (N = 471,251). ⋯ This study substantiates the absence of a direct causal link between cholecystitis and cerebrovascular accidents (P = .771), pulmonary embolism (P = .071), and acute myocardial infarction (P = .388). A direct causal correlation existed between cholecystitis and sudden death associated with ventricular arrhythmias and aortic aneurysms. The onset of cholecystitis may mitigate the risk of sudden death due to ventricular arrhythmias and aortic aneurysms.
