This paper examines the legal challenges associated with medical robots, including their legal status, liability in cases of malpractice, and concerns over patient data privacy and security. And this paper scrutinizes China's nuanced response to these dilemmas. An analysis of Chinese judicial practices and legislative actions reveals that current denial of legal personality to AI at this stage is commendable. To effectively control the financial risks associated with medical robots, there is an urgent need for clear guidelines on responsibility allocation for medical accidents involving medical robots, the implementation of strict data protection laws, and the strengthening of industry standards and regulations.

Influence of exercise prescription intervention based on WeChat on glycolipid metabolism and fitness of suboptimal-health teachers.
Exercise is an effective means to promote health, but adherence is low. Due to the advantages of immediacy, economy and effectiveness, the use of WeChat social software has permeated into every aspect in daily life in China. To explore the influence of WeChat-based exercise prescription intervention mode on glycolipid metabolism and fitness of suboptimal-health teachers. 293 suboptimal-health teachers with senior professional titles were randomized to a control group (CG) or an experimental group (e.g.). ⋯ Fasting blood glucose (FBG) decreased significantly in the e.g. but not in the CG, with a significant difference between groups (P < .05). The subjects in the e.g. were very satisfied with WeChat management. WeChat-based exercise prescription intervention could improve SHS, exercise adherence, subjective feelings, physical fitness and glycolipid metabolism.

Investigation of postoperative erectile dysfunction in colorectal surgery patients and comparison of results.
Although surgical treatment is curative for colorectal cancers, erectile dysfunction (ED) is one of the complications that affect the patient quality of life. The present study aimed to evaluate sexual dysfunction in patients who underwent anterior resection (AR) and low AR (LAR) surgery secondary to rectosigmoid pathologies in our clinic, to analyze the effective variables, and to compare the results. ⋯ ED is an emerging medical problem that affects patients who undergo colorectal surgery adversely both in social and psychological aspects. Discussions on the issue are still ongoing. Clinicians' concerns can be addressed in the future as the number of prospectively designed studies involving more homogeneous and larger populations increases.

Association of admission serum triglyceride levels with intensive care unit hospitalization rates in acute pancreatitis patients: A retrospective study.
Acute pancreatitis (AP) is a complex and unpredictable condition, of which hypertriglyceridemia (HTG) is the third most prevalent cause. This study aimed to conduct a retrospective analysis of clinical data from hospitalized AP patients to uncover a potential correlation between triglyceride (TG) levels and the necessity for intensive care unit (ICU) admission. This retrospective cohort study utilized the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care IV 2.2 (MIMIC-IV) critical care dataset, incorporating data from 698 patients with hypertriglyceridemic acute pancreatitis (HTG-AP). ⋯ As triglyceride levels increased, there was a corresponding increase in ICU admissions. Patients within the 1.7 to 5.65 mmol/L and > 11.3 mmol/L triglyceride groups exhibited higher rates of ICU admissions. Moreover, we observed a higher risk of ICU hospitalization even with mild TG elevation.

To explore the effect of holographic Guasha therapy on the Pittsburg Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAMA) in older adults with hypertension living in the community. This prospective study was conducted from July 2019 to December 2020. Older adults with hypertension (systolic pressure ≥ 140 mm Hg, diastolic pressure ≥ 90 mm Hg) were divided into the control and Guasha groups. ⋯ The HAMA index scores did not change in the control or Guasha group (both P > .05). Holographic Guasha appears to achieve better sleep outcomes than conventional treatment in improving the sleep quality of older adults with hypertension living in the community. The participants were not randomly assigned to the treatments, and the results should be confirmed in a formal trial.
