Influence of continuous 4C nursing on quality of life and self-care ability of patients with diabetes retinopathy: An observational study.
This study aims to investigate the impact of continuous 4C nursing on patients with diabetes retinopathy (DR) and its influence on self-care ability. A total of 100 DR patients admitted to our hospital from October 2020 to October 2022 were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group received routine care, while the observation group received continuous 4C care. ⋯ The observation group showed greater improvements compared to the control group (P < .05). The application of continuous 4C nursing in DR patients has shown positive effects, including improved patient compliance and satisfaction, enhanced patient quality of life and visual acuity. These findings suggest that continuous 4C nursing should be widely promoted and applied in clinical practice.

Paroxysmal sympathetic hyperexcitability (PSH) is a group of complex syndromes with various etiologies. Previous studies were limited to the description of traumatic brain injury (TBI), and the description of PSH after other types of brain injury was rare. We explored the clinical features, treatment, and prognosis of PSH after various types of brain injuries. ⋯ The etiology of PSH is complex. TBI may be the most common cause of PSH. Non-TBI may also be an important cause of PSH. Therefore, early identification, prevention and diagnosis are helpful for determining the prognosis and outcome of the disease.

Incidence of perioperative complications in COVID-19 survivors: Prospective observational clinical trial.
As long as the COVID-19 pandemic continued, the continuation of elective surgery had been unavoidable. There is still no consensus on the timing of elective surgery in patients who have recovered from COVID-19. The primary aim of this study was to determine the effect of time after COVID-19 infection on perioperative complications. ⋯ The incidence of perioperative complications decreased with increasing time after a positive SARS-CoV-2 infection, but there was no difference in perioperative complications between the groups. As the time between COVID-19 positivity and surgery increased, the need for oxygen support in the postoperative period decreased. It is not possible to share clear data on the timing of operation after SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Evaluation of adverse reactions induced by anti-tuberculosis drugs among hospitalized patients in Wuhan, China: A retrospective study.
The study aims to estimate the incidence and risk factors of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) induced by anti-tuberculosis (TB) drugs. A single center retrospective analysis of patients taking anti-TB therapy from January 2016 to December 2018 in the hospital was conducted. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis were used to identify these risk factors of ADRs induced by anti-TB drugs. ⋯ Anti-TB drugs usually induced the occurrence of severe and frequent adverse effects, such as hyperuricemia. Treatment duration, HREZ, HRZS and HRZ regimens, and type of TB (extrapulmonary) should be considered as high-risk factors. Thus, it should be recommended to consider optimum management during anti-TB therapy, particularly hyperuricemia monitoring and hepatic function test.

Management of work stress among arts and science school administrators in Nigeria using rational emotive occupational health coaching: A randomized controlled trial evaluation.
The working circumstances of the administrators are appalling due to the nature of education in Nigeria. These administrators put in a lot of overtime to fulfill the expectations of their positions, which stresses them out. But there is no information in the literature about how administrators of science schools deal with their demanding environments. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate how administrators of secondary scientific schools in the Southeast could manage work-related stress by using rational and emotive occupational health coaching. ⋯ The management of work stress among southeast secondary arts and science school administrators was significantly improved through rational emotive occupational health coaching.
