Meta Analysis
Meta-analysis of the association between dietary inflammation index and C-reactive protein level.
There have been various clinical studies on the effect of dietary inflammatory index (DII) on circulating inflammatory biomarkers, but the findings from these are contradictory. The aim of the present study was to clarify any association. ⋯ The meta-analysis suggests that more pro-inflammatory DII scores were positively associated with CRP, the DII scores can be useful to assess the diet inflammatory properties and its association with low-grade inflammation.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study
Efficacy and safety of Piwei Peiyuan Prescription in the treatment of chronic atrophic gastritis: A multicenter, double-blind, double-simulated, randomized, controlled clinical trial.
The incidence of chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) is on the rise due to the growing pressure in modern social life, increasing bad living habits and emotional disorders (such as anxiety and depression), and the aging of the population. Of note, digestive system diseases are the dominant diseases in the field of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Therefore, this study evaluated the efficacy and safety of Piwei Peiyuan Prescription, a TCM prescription, in the treatment of CAG through a multicenter, double-blind, randomized, controlled design. ⋯ According to TCM syndrome scores, Piwei Peiyuan Prescription improved the scores of gastric distension (2.30 ± 1.13 vs 2.80 ± 0.99, P = .022), preference for warmth and pressure (1.44 ± 1.06 vs 1.36 ± 1.10, P = .041), and poor appetite and indigestion (0.78 ± 0.66 vs 1.32 ± 0.72, P = .018). GAS, MTL, and PGE2 expression was significantly elevated after treatment with Piwei Peiyuan Prescription (P < .001). Piwei Peiyuan Prescription is effective for CAG treatment with high safety.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study
Comparison of the pleiotropic effect of atorvastatin and rosuvastatin on postmenopausal changes in bone turnover: A randomized comparative study.
Statins are the first-line treatment for dyslipidemia, which is a major modifiable risk factor for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. Studies have shown that in addition to the beneficial lipid-lowering effect, statins also exhibit a number of pleiotropic effects that may find application in other diseases, including osteoporosis. This study aimed to assess the effect of statins on bone turnover, as measured by the concentration of bone turnover markers, and to compare the effect of atorvastatin as a lipophilic statin and rosuvastatin as a hydrophilic statin. ⋯ These results may indicate the superiority of atorvastatin over rosuvastatin in inhibiting adverse changes in bone turnover in postmenopausal women. Confirmed by studies involving a larger population, the observed differences might find particular applications in clinical practice, and the choice of atorvastatin over rosuvastatin for women could be considered in the early postmenopausal period to reduce the risk of osteoporosis and subsequent osteoporotic fractures.

Anti-Hu antibody associated paraneoplastic neurological syndrome in a child with ganglioneuroblastoma: A rare case report and literature review.
Paraneoplastic neurological syndrome with anti-Hu antibody (Hu-PNS) is a neurological disorder that occur in patients with malignancy. The syndrome has a wide range of presentations and can present before diagnosis of primary malignancy. Familiarity with these paraneoplastic neurological syndromes can help early recognition and take appropriate regimens. ⋯ Hu-PNS has rarely been reported in children with ganglioneuroblastomas. They can mimic non-neoplastic processes, making detection and diagnosis difficult. Serum and/or cerebrospinal fluid onconeural antibody can strongly indicate occult cancers. Early detection of paraneoplastic neurological syndromes can help take appropriate regimens and improve prognosis.

Meta Analysis
Diagnostic performance of acoustic radiation force impulse for acute pancreatitis: A meta-analysis.
The objective of this meta-analysis is to evaluate the diagnostic performance of acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI) in acute pancreatitis (AP) patients. ⋯ This meta-analysis demonstrated that ARFI exerted satisfactory diagnostic performance in AP.
