This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to report the evaluation of the prevalence and risk of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) among adult psoriatic patients in a systematic review and meta-analysis. ⋯ The study found a significant link between psoriasis and NAFLD, with psoriatic patients having a higher chance of developing NAFLD compared to the controls. The study calls for regular NAFLD screening in psoriatic patients to prevent liver complications.

Recurrent ovarian cancer (OC) presents a significant therapeutic challenge with limited treatment success. Programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1/PD-L1) immune checkpoint inhibitors have emerged as a potential treatment avenue, necessitating a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate their efficacy and safety. ⋯ PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors offer a promising treatment option for recurrent OC, improving ORR, DCR, and PFS. However, the higher incidence of adverse events necessitates a cautious approach to their use. Future research should focus on long-term outcomes, biomarker identification, and optimal combination therapies.

Acupuncture and moxibustion treatment for myasthenia gravis: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a common autoimmune disease that often involves the skeletal muscle of the whole body and seriously affects patients' quality of life. Acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of MG has unique advantages, the aim is to evaluate the clinical effect of acupuncture and moxibustion on MG. ⋯ Acupuncture and moxibustion has a good effect on MG, which is better than conventional Western medicine in improving the total clinical effective rate and absolute clinical score.

β-Thalassemia is the world's number 1 single-gene genetic disorder and is characterized by suppressed or impaired production of β-pearl protein chains. This results in intramedullary destruction and premature lysis of red blood cells in peripheral blood. Among them, patients with transfusion-dependent β-thalassemia face the problem of long-term transfusion and iron chelation therapy, which leads to clinical complications and great economic stress. ⋯ In addition, we focus on gene therapy and gene editing advances. Nucleic acid endonuclease tools currently available for gene editing fall into 3 categories: zinc finger nucleases, transcription activator-like effector nucleases, and regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR-Cas9) nucleases. This paper reviews the exploratory applications and exploration of emerging therapeutic tools based on 3 classes of nucleic acid endonucleases in the treatment of β-thalassemia diseases.

Familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (FHCM) is an inherited cardiac disease caused by mutations of sarcomere proteins and can be the underlining substrate for major cardiovascular events. Early identification and diagnosis of FHCM are essential to reduce sudden cardiac death. So, this paper summarized the current knowledge on FHCM, and displayed the analysis via bibliometrics method. ⋯ Keywords formed 3 clusters, focused on the pathogenesis of FHCM, the diagnosis of FHCM, FHCM complications, respectively. The bibliometric analysis and visualization techniques employed herein highlight key trends and focal points in the field, predominantly centered around FHCM's pathogenesis, diagnostic approaches, and its complications. These insights are instrumental in steering future research directions in this area.
