This study investigates the correlation between thyroid hormone levels and metabolic dysfunction in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) who exhibit normal thyroid function and metabolic dysfunction associated with steatotic liver disease (MASLD). ⋯ FT3, TT3, and thyroid-stimulating hormone have important clinical value in the diagnosis of patients with T2DM complicated with MASLD.

Dietary intervention for adult survivors of cancers other than breast cancer: A systematic review.
Healthy eating and weight control are recommended for cancer survivors; however, dietary interventions are not routinely offered to them. This study aimed to assess the effects of dietary interventions on survival, nutritional status, morbidity, dietary changes, health-related quality of life (QOL), and clinical measures in cancer survivors. ⋯ Dietary interventions for adult cancer survivors might contribute to improving their nutritional status; however, further clarification requires a study that standardizes the intervention method. Furthermore, RCTs are required to determine the effects on cancer survivors with undernutrition.

Meta Analysis
Acupuncture combined with mirror therapy for post-stroke dyskinesia: A meta-analysis and systematic review.
Dyskinesia is one of the most common complications of stroke. Acupuncture therapy (AT) and mirror therapy (MT) are promising rehabilitation measures for the treatment of post-stroke dyskinesia. Although some studies suggested that AT and MT are effective and safe for dyskinesia, the effects, and safety remain uncertain due to lacking strong evidence. The purpose of this study is to investigate the efficacy and safety of AT combined with MT in the treatment of post-stroke dyskinesia. ⋯ AT combined with MT is effective in improving motor function and daily living ability of patients, especially in improving muscle spasms. However, these results should be regarded with caution given the low quality of evidence for the evaluation results.

The current review aims to summarize the international experience of the impact of adaptive radiotherapy on dosimetry and clinical and toxicity outcomes. Additionally, it might trigger Radiation Oncologists to use ART and evaluate whether ART improves target volume coverage and/or normal tissue sparing and, consequently, therapeutic results. ⋯ ART replanning appears to be a sustainable strategy to minimize toxicity by improving normal tissue sparing. Furthermore, it can enhance target volume coverage by correctly determining the specific dose to be delivered to the tumor. In conclusion, this review confirmed that ART benefits dosimetric, clinical/therapeutic, and toxicity outcomes.

Observational Study
The impact of instrumented lumbar fusion surgery on psychiatric problems in elderly patients with degenerative spinal stenosis: The observational study.
This is a prospective cohort study to investigate the effects of instrumented lumbar fusion surgery on psychiatric problems, including anxiety, insomnia, and depression, in patients with degenerative spinal stenosis, as well as on pain and the activities of daily living. Surgery was performed in the patients with Schizas grade C or D spinal stenosis with; if a patient's quality of life was impaired for at least 3 months or if patient had neurologic deficits. Finally, 69 patients were reviewed. ⋯ The patients had mild degrees of anxiety, insomnia, and depression at T1, and Beck anxiety inventory, insomnia severity index, visual analog scale for back pain, visual analog scale for leg pain, and Oswestry disability index improved significantly by T4. In elderly patients with degenerative spinal stenosis, instrumented lumbar fusion surgery improves not only pain and activities of daily living, but also anxiety and insomnia. However, there was no improvement in depression over the 6-month follow-up period.
