Effects of tracking linkage self-management mode on the compliance of prenatal examinations and delivery modes in primiparas.
To explore the effects of tracking linkage self-management mode on the compliance of prenatal examinations and delivery modes in primiparas. A total of 270 primiparas undergoing prenatal examinations in Shijiazhuang Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital were enrolled for prospective study between January 2021 and January 2022. They were divided into control group and observation group, 135 cases in each group. ⋯ After intervention, total compliance rate of prenatal examinations in observation group was higher than that in control group (84.44% vs 72.59%) (P < .05). The scores of pregnancy care, genetic diseases counseling, prevention of birth defects and reasonable nutrition during pregnancy in observation group were higher than those in control group (P < .05), scores of health cognition, self-care skills, self-care responsibility and self-concept were higher than those in control group (P < .05), scores of self-rating anxiety scale and self-rating depression scale were lower than those in control group (P < .05), natural delivery rate was higher than that in control group (85.93% vs 74.81%) (P < .05), and incidence of neonatal adverse outcomes was lower than that in control group (0.74% vs 5.93%) (Fisher exact probability = 0.036). The application of tracking linkage self-management mode can significantly improve cognition to prenatal examinations, improve compliance of prenatal examinations and self-care ability, relieve anxiety and depression, increase natural delivery rate and reduce the incidence of neonatal adverse outcomes in primiparas.

Uncertainty exists regarding the association between diet and acute tubulointerstitial nephritis. Dietary factors served as exposures, including intake of alcohol, beef, non-oily fish, fresh fruit, oily fish, dried fruit, coffee, salad/raw vegetable, cereal, tea, water, salt, cooked vegetable, cheese, poultry, pork, Lamb/mutton, bread, and processed meat were extracted from the UK Biobank. Acute tubulointerstitial nephritis served as the outcome extracted from the FinnGen biobank. ⋯ According to the IVW method, processed meat intake (OR = 0.485; P = .00152), non-oily fish intake (OR = 0.396; P = .0454), oily fish intake (OR = 0.612; P = .00161), and dried fruit intake (OR = 0.536; P = .00648) reduced the risk of acute tubulointerstitial nephritis. Other dietary factors were not shown to be causally related to acute tubulointerstitial nephritis. This study revealed that intake of processed meat, non-oily fish, oily fish, and dried fruit all decreased the risk of acute tubulointerstitial nephritis.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a significant public health issue owing to its widespread occurrence and substantial morbidity and mortality rates. Recent studies have highlighted serum uric acid (SUA) level as a probable risk factor for CRC; however, the inconsistency in these findings has created doubt. We performed a Mendelian randomization (MR) study utilizing extensive cohort data from the UK BioBank and the NHGRI-EBI Genome-Wide Association Study (GWAS) Catalog to investigate the causal connection between SUA levels and CRC incidence. ⋯ Considering SUA levels as the exposure and CRC as the outcome, the inverse variance-weighted (IVW) approach in MR showed that the odds ratios (ORs) for CRC for each unit increase in SUA were 0.232 (95% confidence interval [CI] of OR 0.094-0.570; P = .001) and 0.551 (95% CI of OR 0.325-0.934; P = .027). Pleiotropic tests and sensitivity analysis confirmed minimal horizontal pleiotropy and the robustness of causality. Our research deepens the understanding of the association between SUA levels and CRC, offering insights into prevention strategies and patient outcomes prediction.

The aim of this study is to delineate the distinctive high-resolution computed tomography features of pulmonary cryptococcosis in non-HIV-infected patients. This retrospective analysis encompasses high-resolution computed tomography scans from 58 patients with histologically confirmed pulmonary cryptococcosis, focusing on the diagnostic challenges and the factors that lead to misdiagnosis. Analysis of computed tomography scans from these patients indicated that nodular or mass-like presentations were evident in 32 cases (55.2%), consolidation presentations in 7 cases (12.1%), and mixed presentations in 19 cases (32.8%). ⋯ Moreover, 24 cases (41.4%) exhibited necrosis or cavitation, mediastinal lymphadenopathy was noted in 6 cases (10.3%), and pleural effusion was present in 5 cases (8.6%). Lesions were devoid of calcification. Pulmonary cryptococcosis ought to be contemplated in the differential diagnosis when computed tomography imaging exhibits patterns including, but not limited to, lower lobe and peripheral distribution, a broad base abutting the pleura, clustered growth with a propensity for fusion, air bronchogram within lesions, and peripheral halo sign.

Isolated popliteal artery occlusions are rare compared with femoropopliteal occlusive diseases. Although endovascular procedures have gained importance in treatment, conventional surgery remains the gold standard. In this study, we reviewed popliteal endarterectomy and patch plasty using a posterior approach. ⋯ Surgical treatment with the posterior approach in isolated popliteal artery lesions is preferred by vascular surgeons as a prioritized treatment method, with a sufficient recanalization rate and low perioperative morbidity and mortality rates. Furthermore, it is promising because it does not prevent below-knee femoropopliteal bypass, which is the subsequent stage of treatment. Moreover, the great saphenous vein was protected, and the acceptable early- and mid-term results were encouraging.
