Splenic abscess secondary to COVID-19 acute infection: A case report and literature review.
Splenic abscess is relatively rare in clinical practice as an invasive disease. However, during the continuous prevalence of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the incidence rate of splenic abscess showed an upward trend. However, because the etiology of splenic abscess is not specific, it is easy to be covered by the respiratory symptoms of COVID-19, resulting in omission or delay in diagnosis. If splenic abscesses cannot be treated in a timely manner, the mortality rate can reach 100%. Therefore, it is important to fully understand the correlation between COVID-19 and the development of splenic abscesses. ⋯ This case introduces the clinical characteristics of secondary splenic abscess caused by COVID-19 from the aspects of etiology, disease course, clinical manifestations, auxiliary examinations, and treatment methods. The focus is on improving the understanding of clinical doctors about secondary splenic abscesses caused by COVID-19, providing reference for early diagnosis and timely treatment.

Neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy is a type of traumatic brain injury caused by insufficient cerebral perfusion and oxygen supply in the perinatal neonate, which can be accompanied by different types of long-term neurodevelopmental sequelae, such as cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, mental retardation and epilepsy It is one of the main causes of neonatal death and disability, and it has caused a great burden on families and society. Therefore, this article mainly reviews the latest developments in mild hypothermia therapy and related drugs for neonatal hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy.

This narrative review examined the intersection of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) and the personalization of health professional education (PHE). This review aims to the elucidate the current condition of GAI technologies and their particular uses in the field of PHE. Data were extracted and analyzed from studies focusing on the demographics and professional development preferences of healthcare workers, the competencies required for personalized precision medicine, and the current and potential applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in PHE. ⋯ Core concepts in AI research were established, with a spotlight on emerging areas such as data science and learning analytics. The application of AI in PHE was recognized for its current benefits and potential for future advancements, with a call for ethical vigilance. GAI holds significant promise for personalizing PHE, with an identified need for ethical frameworks and diverse developer teams to address bias and equity in educational AI applications.

Successful percutaneous coronary intervention in a congenital single right coronary artery with acute myocardial infarction: A case report and literature review.
Single coronary artery (SCA) is a rare coronary artery malformation. SCA combined with atherosclerotic plaques can cause severe and widespread myocardial ischemia and infarction, leading to hemodynamic instability and even sudden death. ⋯ The congenital single RCA is very rare, and it is fatal in conjunction with acute coronary syndrome. Early detection and appropriate treatment is critical for AMI patient with single RCA. CAG is the gold standard for diagnosis of single RCA, and CTA is a necessary to describe the anatomical course of abnormal coronary arteries.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of formula milk powder in the treatment of lactose intolerance in children, and to provide an evidence-based medicine basis for the rational use of drugs in children with lactose intolerance caused by various reasons by meta-analysis. ⋯ Low/lactose-free milk powder can improve clinical efficacy and shorten the course of treatment in infants with lactose intolerance, which can be demonstrated by further large-scale clinical studies.
