Randomized Controlled Trial
Effect of "He Tiao Du Ren An Shen Acupuncture" on restless leg syndrome: A randomized trial.
This study aimed to observe the clinical effects of "He Tiao Du Ren An Shen Acupuncture" (HTDRAS Acupuncture) for treating restless leg syndrome (RLS). ⋯ "He Tiao Du Ren An Shen Acupuncture" for RLS is significantly effective and safe. It can effectively improve the levels of 5-hydroxytryptamine in RLS patients, alleviate clinical symptoms and reduce anxiety. This treatment has a high clinical application value and is worthy of clinical promotion.

Hepatic angiosarcoma (HSA) has a poor prognosis. Our understanding of its clinical features, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis remains limited. In certain cases, vascular tumors such as HSA can induce bleeding complications due to thrombocytopenia, known as Kasabach-Merritt syndrome (KMS). When KMS symptoms occur in the lungs, its clinical manifestations closely resemble those of ARDS, leading to misdiagnosis and poor outcomes. Unfortunately, this condition is extremely rare and there is a lack of relevant case reports, which further adds to the difficulty of its diagnosis and treatment. ⋯ Dysfunction of a single organ or system may be the external manifestation of a multi-system clinical disease. Therefore, in the clinical diagnosis and treatment process, especially during early diagnosis, while it is important to focus on the primary or typical clinical symptoms, it is equally crucial not to underestimate or ignore accompanying symptoms that lack specificity. When diagnosis and treatment reach an impasse, these "atypical" symptoms often prove to be key in solving the puzzle.

Glucagon-like peptide-1 is an endogenous incretin that plays an active role in weight loss and hypoglycemia. Dulaglutide is a long-acting glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1RA), which has been approved for the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D). GLP-1RAs can increase insulin secretion and inhibit glucagon release, thereby leading to a decrease in blood glucose levels within the body. Specifically, GLP-1RAs control postprandial blood glucose levels by inhibiting hepatic glucose production and delaying gastric emptying. However, attention should be given to gastrointestinal adverse reactions. There are currently a few cases of GLP-1RA causing diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). ⋯ This case suggests that clinicians should be alert to patients with severe DKA in cases of severe gastrointestinal adverse reactions after the use of GLP-1RAs. In addition, in most countries, GLP-1RAs are administered to patients with T2D, but we should consider the use of GLP-1RAs in patients with type 1 diabetes and LADA.

Small bowel Crohn's disease (SBCD) is a common site of Crohn's disease (CD). However, owing to the anatomical characteristics of the small bowel and the limitations of traditional examination methods, the detection and diagnosis of SBCD remain difficult. Gastroenterologists and anorectal surgeons should pay more attention to improving the early diagnosis rate, so as to improve the prognosis of patients and reduce the probability of surgery due to complications. ⋯ Gastroenterologists and anorectal surgeons should be aware that perianal abscess could be the first manifestation of SBCD; even if typical CD manifestations are absent, proper further examinations are necessary based on the comprehensive analysis of clinical data of patients. In addition, the platelet count deserves attention in patients with potentially possible CD. More importantly, it is important to emphasize the importance of EEN in adult CD patients.

This study aimed to explore whether maternal food and nutrition literacy (FNL) can mitigate negative effects of food insecurity on children's eating habits and assist food-insecure households in making better nutrition choices with limited resources available. A cross-sectional study was conducted on children aged 6 to 12 years and their mothers. FNL was assessed using a validated Food and Nutrition Literacy Assessment Tool, and household food security was evaluated with the Household Food Insecurity Access Scale. ⋯ Both groups indicated lower sweet consumption associated with higher FNL. Maternal FNL was inversely associated with lower dairy and nut intake in food-secure group and lower fruit and vegetable consumption in food-insecure participants. This study suggests that in conditions of food insecurity FNL may reduce the negative impact of food insecurity on children's nutrition choices and food habits.
