Gender differences in cardiovascular outcomes of kidney transplant recipients: A retrospective cohort study.
The purpose of this study was to investigate gender differences in cardiovascular outcomes of kidney transplant recipients (KTRs). Here, a retrospective cohort study was conducted, and data from the National Health Insurance Research Database in Taiwan were used. In total, 2904 patients who had end-stage renal disease (ERSD) and received kidney transplantation (KT) were identified by propensity score matching (PSM) and were enrolled from 1997 to 2012, with follow-up ending in 2013. ⋯ Bayesian network indicated that age is an important determinant of cardiovascular outcomes in KTRs, regardless of gender. In Taiwan, women had a lower risk of adverse cardiovascular outcomes than men in KTRs aged > 50 years or with a waiting time for KT ≤ 6 years. Furthermore, age is an important independent determinant for the prognosis of KTRs.

Immunothrombosis is a physiological process that constitutes an intravascular innate immune response. Abnormal immunothrombosis can lead to thrombotic disorders. With the outbreak of COVID-19, there is increasing attention to the mechanisms of immunothrombosis and its critical role in thrombotic events, and a growing number of relevant research papers are emerging. This article employs bibliometrics to discuss the current status, hotspots, and trends in research of this field. ⋯ Bibliometric analysis summarizes the main achievements and development trends in research on immunothrombosis, offering readers a comprehensive understanding of the field and guiding future research directions.

Exploring the mechanism of action of Bidens pilosa L. in combating hepatic fibrosis through network pharmacology and molecular docking: An observational study.
Based on network pharmacology and molecular docking methods, to explore the possible targets and mechanisms of Bidens pilosa L. in treatment of liver fibrosis. The TCMSP, GeneCard, OMIM, TTD and DrugBank databases were used to obtain the targets of Bidens pilosa L and liver fibrosis, than the intersection targets were screened out by Venny 2.1.0, the protein-protein interaction (PPI) network and the core targets were obtained by the STRING database. Use Cytoscape3.7.2 software to draw the "traditional Chinese medicine-component-target-disease" network. ⋯ Pathways acting on cancer, fluid shear stress and atherosclerosis, lipids and atherosclerosis, PI3K-AKT signaling pathway, MAPK signaling pathway and other signaling pathways. Molecular docking showed that the active components of Bidens pilosa L. displayed good binding activity with core target proteins, and the average binding energy was -7.47 kcal/mol. The possible mechanism of the active components against liver fibrosis is to regulate the PI3K-AKT, MAPK, and other signaling pathways by acting on core targets such as PIK3R1, HSP90AA1, SRC, TP53, AKT1, RELA, and induce the apoptosis of activated HSC cells to reverse and improve liver fibrosis.

CICARE communication model and hierarchical responsibility nursing coordination in the application research of elderly patients with chronic heart failure.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of implementing the CICARE communication model and hierarchical responsibility nursing coordination in managing chronic heart failure among elderly patients. From June 2021 to June 2023, 120 elderly patients diagnosed with chronic heart failure were admitted to our hospital. They were divided into 2 groups according to different treatment methods: the regular group and the observation group. ⋯ The time to relief of breathlessness and edema did not significantly differ between the groups (P > .05). Similarly, there were no significant differences in self-efficacy and quality of life scores between the groups before the intervention (P > .05); however, post-intervention analysis showed higher self-efficacy scores in the observation group. Application of the CICARE communication model and hierarchical responsibility nursing coordination in elderly patients with chronic heart failure can effectively improve the patients' cardiac function levels and significantly enhance their exercise tolerance, self-efficacy, and quality of life.

The value analysis of high-resolution thin-layer CT in the identification of early lung adenocarcinoma: An observation study.
The aim of this study was to explore the clinical value of high-resolution thin-layer computed tomography (CT) for the identification of early lung adenocarcinoma. Ninety patients with early lung adenocarcinoma who were diagnosed and treated in our hospital were selected as study subjects and divided into noninvasive (NIG, n = 51) and invasive (IG, n = 39) groups according to their pathological findings. Both groups underwent high-resolution target scanning. ⋯ The proportions of CT signs of lobulation, spicule, and vessel convergence were higher in the IG patients compared to the NIG (P < .05). High-resolution thin-layer CT for the diagnosis of lung adenocarcinoma infiltration had an AUC of 0.6702 (P < .05), a diagnostic sensitivity of 64.10%, and a diagnostic specificity of 60.78%. High-resolution thin-layer CT had certain differential diagnostic efficacy for early lung adenocarcinoma, which clearly presents various CT signs of early lung adenocarcinoma lesions.
