Clinical efficacy and safety of acupuncture combined with statin in dyslipidemia: A meta-analysis and system review.
This study aims to systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of acupuncture in combination with statin therapy compared to statin monotherapy for the treatment of dyslipidemia. ⋯ Our findings support the potential of acupuncture combined with statin as a viable clinical treatment option for dyslipidemia. However, it is important to note that current research on the mechanism of acupuncture for lipid-lowering has not yielded definitive results, and there are inherent biases in the conducted clinical studies.

In total hip arthroplasty (THA), the positioning of components holds critical importance for factors such as joint stability, polyethylene liner wear, and range of motion. This meta-analysis aimed to compare the effects of intraoperative fluoroscopy (IF) versus no use of IF on component positioning and the restoration of patient anatomy during THA. ⋯ IF did not demonstrate improvements in acetabular cup placement, limb length difference, or dislocation occurrence. Nonetheless, IF showed a significant enhancement in restoring femoral offset. It is noteworthy that surgeons operating in facilities with lower patient volumes may observe more pronounced benefits from IF.

The incidence of recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA) in the clinic shows an increasing trend year by year, and the coagulation status of this group of patients is mostly relatively abnormal. Currently, commonly used drugs in clinical practice include Aspirin (ASA) and low molecular weight heparin (LMWH), but their optimal treatment remains controversial. We aimed to evaluate the clinical efficacy and adverse effects of LMWH combined with ASA in the treatment of RSA. ⋯ LMWH combined with ASA treatment might improve pregnancy outcomes and reduces the incidence of adverse events in patients with RSA.

Effectiveness of acupuncture plus music therapy for post-stroke depression: Systematic review and meta-analysis.
Post-stroke depression (PSD) is a prevalent complication of stroke that adversely affects patient outcomes. The etiology of PSD is complex, and no universally effective treatment exists. Acupuncture, with its historical use, combined with music therapy, presents a novel approach for PSD treatment. This study aims to systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy of combining acupuncture with music therapy for PSD through a meta-analysis. ⋯ The use of acupuncture combined with music therapy is effective in reducing depression in PSD patients.

Increasing evidence suggests that patients with diabetes are at increased risk of developing nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), but the underlying mechanisms that affect the progression of NASH remain unclear. In this study, we used bioinformatics and network pharmacology methods to explore the differentially expressed genes of NASH and the related genes of type 2 diabetes mellitus, and a total of 46 common targets were obtained. Gene ontology showed that the common targets were mainly involved in biological processes such as glucocorticoid, hormone, and bacterium responses. ⋯ In addition, we identified 15 potential candidate drugs based on hub genes that are promising for the treatment of NASH. Type 2 diabetes mellitus can affect the progression of NASH by changing hormone levels and inflammatory responses through multiple targets and signaling pathways. Eight hub genes are expected to be potential targets for subsequent treatment.
