Multicenter Study Observational Study
Correlation between MRI findings of pituitary gland and prolactin level among hyperprolactinemia adult female Saudi patients in rural areas: A retrospective multicentric study.
Identifying the prolactin threshold that necessitates pituitary magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in patients with hyperprolactinemia remains challenging. Therefore, developing standards for serum prolactin level criteria to predict prolactinoma is critical. This study aimed to investigate the correlation between hyperprolactinemia and the presence of pituitary adenoma among Saudi female patients with verified prolactin levels. ⋯ The ideal cutoff prolactin level for diagnosing pituitary adenoma was > 38.71 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 77.23% and specificity of 40.91%. It is prudent to perform pituitary imaging in most cases of hyperprolactinemia without event etiology, even if the condition is minor, due to the high prevalence of pituitary anomalies in female patients with hyperprolactinemia at serial sampling. A multidisciplinary strategy is necessary for a comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up approach to improve the clinical outcomes of these individuals.

Intradural extramedullary double primary ependymoma and meningioma rare condition: Case report and literature review.
Ependymomas are commonly prevalent intramedullary neoplasms in adults, with hardly any cases of exophytic extramedullary ependymoma being reported. Meningiomas, on the contrary, are one of the most common intradural extramedullary (IDEM) tumors. However, the occurrence of both IDEM tumors simultaneously is extremely rare. ⋯ This is the first reported case of IDEM double primary ependymoma and meningioma, highlighting the rarity of such cases and the importance of thorough diagnostic workup and surgical excision for IDEM tumors. Genetic analysis adds to the understanding of these rare tumors and guides management strategies.

Hearing impairment is a prevalent clinical feature in Morquio syndrome (mucopolysaccharidosis IVA or MPS IVA) patients, often presenting in diverse forms: conductive, sensorineural, or a combination known as mixed hearing loss. The mixed form entails a blend of both conductive and sensorineural elements, typically exhibiting a progressive trajectory. This scoping review aimed to comprehensively analyze available evidence pertaining to the pathophysiology, classification, epidemiology, and clinical management of hearing loss in individuals with MPS IVA. ⋯ Five hundred sixty-eight patients with MPS IVA were identified, of whom 210 (37%) developed hearing loss, the most common of which was moderate. Despite the lack of information on the diagnosis and management of hearing loss in Morquio syndrome, this study found that approximately one-third of participants exhibited some form of auditory impairment, with the majority of these cases being sensorineural in nature.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Effects of intensive wearing face masks on patients with postinfectious cough: A randomized controlled trial.
Postinfectious cough was a common clinical symptom, which troubled patients and increased economic burden. The efficacy of pharmacotherapy for this symptom was unsatisfactory. This study aimed to explore the intervention effect of intensified mask-wearing on patients with post-upper respiratory tract infection cough and its role in reducing the economic burden of patients. ⋯ The compliance of patients with intensive wearing face masks was high. The intensive wearing of face masks had a good intervention effect on the treatment of postinfectious cough, which could effectively reduce cough symptoms of patients, shorten the course of the disease, and reduce medical expenditure.

Comparative Study Observational Study
The impact of workplace bullying on depression among clinical nurses in China: A comparative analysis.
The objective of this study is to examine the phenomenon of workplace bullying and its potential associations with burnout and depression among clinical nurses in China. A convenience sampling method was utilized to conduct a survey among 415 clinical nurses across 9 hospitals. All questionnaires were completed within a 2-week period in October 2023. ⋯ A positive correlation was found between depression and NAQ. It is evident that workplace bullying has a detrimental impact on the mental well-being of clinical nurses. To address this issue, hospital administrators are advised to implement regular psychological clinics for clinical nurses and offer targeted educational programs aimed at increasing awareness of workplace bullying and enhancing coping strategies.
