Background Image-guided thermal ablation can be used for the treatment of medically inoperable primary and metastatic lung cancer. These techniques are based on the heating up or freezing (cryoablation) of a volume of tissue around a percutaneous applicator that induces necrosis of the tumor. Method The English-language literature concerning thermal ablation of the lung was reviewed. ⋯ Citation Format · Vogl TJ, Nour-Eldin NA, Albrecht MH et al. Purpose As a supra-regional level-I trauma center, we evaluated computed tomography (CT) acquisitions of polytraumatized patients for quality and dose optimization purposes. Adapted statistical iterative reconstruction [(AS)IR] levels, tube voltage reduction as well as a split-bolus contrast agent (CA) protocol were applied. Materials and Methods 61 patients were split into 3 different groups that differed with respect to tube voltage (120 - 140 kVp) and level of applied ASIR reconstruction (ASIR 20 - 50 %). ⋯ Citation Format · Kahn J, Kaul D, Böning G et al. Purpose Analysis of patient´s X-ray exposure during percutaneous radiologic gastrostomies (PRG) in a larger population. Materials and Methods Data of primary successful PRG-procedures, performed between 2004 and 2015 in 146 patients, were analyzed regarding the exposition to X-ray. Dose-area-product (DAP), dose-length-product (DLP) respectively, and fluoroscopy time (FT) were correlated with the used x-ray systems (Flatpanel Detector (FD) vs. ⋯ Citation Format · Petersen TO, Reinhardt M, Fuchs J et al. Purpose To determine the value of routine contrast enema of loop ileostomy before elective ileostomy closure regarding the influence on the clinical decision-making. Materials and Methods Retrospective analysis of contrast enemas at a tertiary care center between 2005 und 2011. Patients were divided into two groups: Group I with ileostomy reversal, group II without ileostomy closure. ⋯ Citation Format · Goetz A, da Silva NP, Moser C et al. Purpose To evaluate the results of interventional endovascular therapy of incidental and symptomatic visceral artery aneurysms in the elective and emergency situation. Materials and Methods 43 aneurysms in 38 patients (19 female, 19 male, mean age: 57 ± 16 years [18 - 82]) were treated between 2011 and 2015. The characteristics of the aneurysms (true vs. false aneurysm, size, etiology, location, symptoms) were considered. ⋯ Citation Format · Ruhnke H, Kröncke TJ,.
