Comparison of Lumbar Lordosis in Lateral Radiographs in Standing Position with supine MR Imaging in consideration of the Sacral Slope.
Purpose To investigate the influence of sacral slope on the correlation between measurements of lumbar lordosis obtained by standing radiographs and magnetic resonance images in supine position (MRI). Little information is available on the correlation between measurements of lumbar lordosis obtained by radiographic and MR images. Purpose Patients suffering from severe blunt abdominal trauma are challenging because of their need for accurate diagnostic imaging and fast therapeutic action. Whole-body computed tomography (WBCT) is highly sensitive and represents the gold standard in the trauma room diagnostic setting. Background Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and extracorporeal life support (ECLS) as respiratory and circulatory assist therapies are gaining in importance in the treatment of critically ill patients. Depending on the place of cannulation - veno-venous for ECMO and veno-arterial for ECLS - distinct changes in hemodynamics will occur. Memory Effect of the Median Nerve: Can Ultrasound Reliably Depict Carpal Tunnel Release Success?
Purpose To evaluate whether ultrasound findings of the median nerve cross-section area (CSA) and wrist-to-forearm ratio (WFR) correlate with neurophysiological and patient-reported outcome after surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). Materials and Methods Subjective pain, CSA, WFR, postoperative scar tissue formation and nerve conduction velocity in 21 hands of 20 patients with clinically confirmed CTS were examined before and after carpal tunnel release surgery.
