Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study
A multicenter, randomized trial of treatment for mild gestational diabetes.
It is uncertain whether treatment of mild gestational diabetes mellitus improves pregnancy outcomes. ⋯ Although treatment of mild gestational diabetes mellitus did not significantly reduce the frequency of a composite outcome that included stillbirth or perinatal death and several neonatal complications, it did reduce the risks of fetal overgrowth, shoulder dystocia, cesarean delivery, and hypertensive disorders. (ClinicalTrials.gov number, NCT00069576.)

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study Comparative Study
Moderate hypothermia to treat perinatal asphyxial encephalopathy.
Whether hypothermic therapy improves neurodevelopmental outcomes in newborn infants with asphyxial encephalopathy is uncertain. ⋯ Induction of moderate hypothermia for 72 hours in infants who had perinatal asphyxia did not significantly reduce the combined rate of death or severe disability but resulted in improved neurologic outcomes in survivors. (Current Controlled Trials number, ISRCTN89547571.)
