Retrospective clinical case series. ⋯ PEISR, combined with WO, through a single posterior approach is a technically challenging but safe and effective procedure for severe rigid scoliosis. This posterior-only approach allows for dramatic radiographical correction that surpasses that reported for posterior VCR.

Retrospective analysis. ⋯ VCR achieved significant pelvic obliquity restoration and coronal and sagittal correction in children with neuromuscular disorders and severe, rigid spinal deformity. However, this challenging procedure involves the potential for major complications.

In vitro flexibility testing of the lumbar spine. ⋯ Those involved in the design and evaluation of PDS devices may benefit from evaluation of interpedicular kinematics. Evaluating intervertebral motion from the perspective of the pedicle screw allows for a direct and intuitive translation between in vitro test results and design parameters. Furthermore, these parameters may provide additional clinical insight into the biomechanics of the healthy and pathological spine. The study presented indicates that this approach may be more sensitive in detecting differences in implant motion between PDS devices.

The study design was cross-cultural adaptation and investigation of reliability and validity of the Copenhagen Neck Functional Disability Scale (CNFDS). ⋯ Our results suggest that the Turkish version of the CNFDS is a reliable and valid instrument for Turkish people.
