A systematic review and meta-analysis. ⋯ Level III.

Comparative Study
Comparison of Bone Mineral Density in Children and Adolescents on CT Versus DEXA Scan.
Retrospective cross-sectional. ⋯ HU on lumbar CT in children and adolescents with DEXA Z -scores <-2.0, were lower when compared with healthy matched controls. This study suggests that HU on opportunistic CT scans of the spine may be used as a reasonable proxy for BMD in the pediatric population.

Retrospective single-center study. ⋯ 3.

Meta-Analysis. ⋯ Non-obese patients undergoing ASD corrective surgery are associated with fewer implant-related complications, a lower EBL, shorter LOS, and a higher likelihood of being discharged home compared to their obese counterparts.
-
Retrospective cohort study. ⋯ L1PA may be a helpful radiographic consideration that translates to clinically relevant outcomes in spinal deformity. However, it does not appear as predictive of patient outcomes after single-level fusion for patients with L4-L5 degenerative spondylolisthesis. Further studies are warranted to investigate the role of L1PA in degenerative spine patients.
