The purpose of this study is to explore the diagnostic accuracy of CT measurements in predicting syndesmosis instability of injured ankle, with correlation to operative findings. ⋯ Axial CT measurements of tibiofibular distance were useful predictors for syndesmosis instability in fractured ankles. The aTFD and maxTFD are the most powerful parameters to predict positive operative instability.

To evaluate the safety and efficacy of percutaneous CT-guided cryoablation of the pudendal nerve for the treatment of refractory pudendal neuralgia. ⋯ CT-guided percutaneous cryoablation may represent a safe and efficacious option for selected patients with refractory pudendal neuralgia.

To describe and evaluate ultrasound-guided hydrodilatation via the rotator interval for the treatment of adhesive capsulitis. ⋯ The rotator interval and anterior joint capsule are strongly implicated in the symptomatology of adhesive capsulitis. The novel use of targeted ultrasound-guided hydrodilatation via the rotator interval gives good results in reducing shoulder pain and symptoms in adhesive capsulitis.

This study aimed to determine the diagnostic value of the nerve root sedimentation sign, a relatively new radiological sign using magnetic resonance imaging, for diagnosing lumbar spinal stenosis. ⋯ Current evidence suggests that the sedimentation sign has high sensitivity and specificity for diagnosing severe lumbar spinal stenosis. Its performance in diagnosing moderate and mild spinal stenosis, however, has yet to be corroborated in properly designed studies.

To (a) evaluate the feasibility of MR epidurography (MRE) and (b) assess the distribution of injectate using two different volumes at caudal epidural steroid injection. ⋯ Firstly, MR epidurography is a safe technique that allows excellent visualization of the distribution of gadolinium in the epidural space following injection via the caudal hiatus. Secondly, a volume of 10 ml is unlikely to treat L5/S1 disease in almost half of patients at caudal epidural steroid injection and at least 20 ml of injectate is likely required for any medication to reach the desired level.
