To investigate whether motion correction improves glycosaminoglycan chemical exchange saturation transfer imaging (gagCEST imaging) of intervertebral discs (IVDs). ⋯ Our study showed significant improvements in the ability to quantify CEST imaging in IVDs after the application of motion correction compared with uncorrected datasets.

Validity, reliability and reproducibility of plain radiographic measurements after total hip arthroplasty.
In total hip arthroplasty (THA), radiographic preoperative planning and postoperative evaluation of acetabular component, femoral offset (FO) and leg length discrepancy (LLD) require good validity, interobserver reliability and intraobserver reproducibility. In this study, we evaluated the validity of the Sundsvall method of FO measurement and the interobserver reliability and intraobserver reproducibility of measurement of FO, LLD, acetabular cup inclination and anteversion. ⋯ The Sundsvall method is as reliable as the standard method. The evaluated radiographic measurement methods have the required validity and reliability to be used in clinical practice.

In modern times scurvy is a rarely encountered disease caused by ascorbic acid (vitamin C) deficiency. However, sporadic cases of scurvy persist, particularly within the pediatric population. ⋯ We present the MRI findings of scurvy in four patients with autism or developmental delay, and review the literature on MRI findings in pediatric patients with scurvy. Despite its rarity, the radiologist must consider scurvy in a pediatric patient with a restricted diet presenting with arthralgia or myalgia.

Pectoralis major tears: anatomy, classification, and diagnosis with ultrasound and MR imaging.
Accurate characterization of pectoralis major tears is important to guide management. Imaging evaluation with ultrasound and MR imaging can be difficult given the complex regional anatomy. In addition, recent literature has redefined the anatomy of the distal pectoralis major. The purpose of this study is to review pectoralis major injuries taking into account new anatomic descriptions using ultrasound and MR imaging, including cadaveric dissection, surgically produced pectoralis tears, and clinical pectoralis tendon tear with surgical correlation.
