Randomized Controlled TrialRole of compressive sensing technique in dose reduction for chest computed tomography: a prospective blinded clinical study.
The purpose of this study was to assess pulmonary lesion detection, diagnostic confidence, and noise reduction in sparse-sampled (SpS) computed tomographic (CT) data of submillisievert (SubmSv) chest CT reconstructed with iterative reconstruction technique (IRT). ⋯ More than 90% dose reduction could be achieved with one-fourth sparse-sampled and SubmSv chest CT examination when reconstructed with IRT. Chest CT dose at one fourth of a millisievert with SpS is possible with optimal lesion detection and diagnostic confidence for the evaluation of pulmonary findings.

Can full-dose contrast-enhanced CT be omitted from an FDG-PET/CT staging examination in newly diagnosed FDG-avid lymphoma?
To determine whether full-dose contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) (CECT) can be omitted from an F-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET) (FDG-PET)/CT staging examination in newly diagnosed FDG-avid lymphoma. ⋯ Unenhanced low-dose FDG-PET/CT alone is suggested as the primary imaging modality of choice for staging patients with newly diagnosed FDG-avid lymphoma. This diagnostic approach is particularly indicated in younger patients in whom diagnostic radiation exposure should be minimized and in patients who are at increased risk of CT contrast-induced allergic reactions or nephropathy.

Detection and localization of bile duct leaks after cholecystectomy using Gd-EOB-DTPA-enhanced MR cholangiography: retrospective study of 16 patients.
To determine if gadolinium-ethoxybenzyl-diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (Gd-EOB-DTPA)-enhanced magnetic resonance (MR) cholangiography can detect and localize bile duct leaks in postcholecystectomy patients. ⋯ Gadolinium-EOB-DTPA-enhanced MR can detect bile leaks with a high sensitivity and specificity.

Comparative StudyHigh spatial resolution, respiratory-gated, t1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging of the liver and the biliary tract during the hepatobiliary phase of gadoxetic Acid-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging.
The aim of this study was to demonstrate the clinical feasibility of a recently developed navigator-gated, 3-dimensional gradient echo (3D-GRE) sequence for high-resolution, T1-weighted imaging (HR-T1WI) during the hepatobiliary phase (HBP) of gadoxetic acid-enhanced liver magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). ⋯ T1-weighted gated-VIBE showed technical feasibility for HR-T1WI during HBP imaging of gadoxetic acid-enhanced MRI.

Clear cell meningioma: clinical features, CT, and MR imaging findings in 23 patients.
Clear cell meningioma (CCM) is a rare meningioma, with radiologic features not well characterized in literature. The purpose of this study was to describe and characterize the clinical features and imaging findings of CCM. ⋯ Clear cell meningioma is a rare subtype of meningioma that occurs in younger patients and often recurs. Cerebellopontine angle is the most affected area in this series. The extent of initial surgical resection is the most important prognostic factor. In radiological studies, CCM tends to have marked heterogeneous enhancement, prominent peritumoral edema, intratumoral cystic components, and involvement of the adjacent bone.
