Computed tomography and magnetic resonance appearance of sporadic meningioangiomatosis correlated with pathological findings.
Meningioangiomatosis (MA) is a rare benign localized lesion of leptomeninges and underlying cerebral cortex. Preoperative diagnosis is difficult and challenging because of its diverse clinical, pathological, and imaging features. We retrospectively analyzed 7 cases of MA to explore their imaging features and correlate with pathological findings. ⋯ Gyriform hyperintensity on FLAIR sequence is the main MRI feature of MA, which correlates with proliferating microvessels with perivascular cuffs of spindle-cell proliferation within the cortex on pathological analysis. Plain CT scan is essential to demonstrate the extent of calcification of these lesions.

Comparative StudyLiver steatosis quantification using magnetic resonance imaging: a prospective comparative study with liver biopsy.
To prospectively determine the accuracy of liver fat quantification with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). ⋯ This prospective study demonstrates that MRI can be proposed as a noninvasive method to screen and quantify liver steatosis.

Costovertebral fracture dislocations: important radiographically difficult diagnosis.
The authors' aim is to report the appearance of fracture dislocations of the costovertebral joint. We will review the pertinent anatomy of the costovertebral articulation, summarize the current literature, report our experience and the imaging appearance of costovertebral joint fracture dislocations, and discuss important concepts of the costovertebral joint, as it relates to thoracic spine fractures.

Azygos arch valves at computed tomography angiography and pitfalls related to its variety in appearance and function.
To evaluate the prevalence of azygos arch valves and assess azygos valve insufficiency at computed tomography angiography (CTA) of the chest or body with high rate contrast material injection. ⋯ Azygos arch valves are a common finding on CTA. They come in various sizes and shapes, and many of them show features of insufficiency.

Case ReportsBilateral and independent Broca areas confirmed by Wada test and functional magnetic resonance imaging.
Accurate preoperative evaluation of language dominance is critical when evaluating potential patients for temporal lobe epilepsy surgery. Although most people have left-sided language dominance, a minority of patients have been described with either bilateral or right hemispheric dominance. We present a patient with right temporal lobe epilepsy who presented with bilateral and functionally independent Broca areas, as confirmed by Wada testing and functional magnetic resonance imaging.
