Practice GuidelineStandardizing Magnetic Resonance Imaging Protocols, Requisitions, and Reports in Multiple Sclerosis: An Update for Radiologist Based on 2017 Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Multiple Sclerosis and 2018 Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers Consensus Guidelines.
The advent of magnetic resonance imaging has improved our understanding of the pathophysiology and natural course of multiple sclerosis (MS). The ability of magnetic resonance imaging to show the evolution of MS lesions on sequential scans has brought it to be one of the endpoints in clinical trials for disease-modifying therapies. Based on the most updated consensus guidelines from the American (Consortium of MS Centers) and European (Magnetic Resonance Imaging in MS) boards of experts in MS, this document shows the most relevant landmarks related to imaging findings, diagnostic criteria, indications to obtain a magnetic resonance, scan protocols and sequence options for patients with MS. Although incorporating the knowledge derived from the research arena into the daily clinical practice is always challenging, in this article, the authors provide useful recommendations to improve the information contained in the magnetic resonance report oriented to facilitate communication between radiologists and specialized medical teams involved in MS patients' multidisciplinary care.

ReviewNavigating the Pulmonary Perfusion Map: Dual-Energy Computed Tomography in Acute Pulmonary Embolism.
Pulmonary embolism is the third most common acute cardiovascular disease. Dual-energy computed tomography perfusion imaging is a promising adjunct in the detection of acute PE providing simultaneous functional assessment of pulmonary perfusion alongside the high-resolution morphological information from computed tomography pulmonary angiography. We review the evidence to date and common causes of perfusion defects including artifacts, parenchymal, and vascular causes, and discuss its potential in furthering our understanding of physiology and pathophysiology in acute pulmonary embolism.

Assessing the Relationship Between American Heart Association Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease Risk Score and Coronary Artery Imaging Findings.
The aim of this study was to characterize the relationship between computed tomography angiography imaging characteristics of coronary artery and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) score. ⋯ There is some concordance but not a perfect overlap between 10-year ASCVD risk scores and coronary artery imaging findings.

Comparative StudyAdaptive Statistical Iterative Reconstruction-V Versus Adaptive Statistical Iterative Reconstruction: Impact on Dose Reduction and Image Quality in Body Computed Tomography.
The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact on dose reduction and image quality of the new iterative reconstruction technique: adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction (ASIR-V). ⋯ Adaptive statistical iterative reconstruction-V is a new iterative reconstruction technique that has the potential to provide image quality equal to or greater than ASIR, with a dose reduction around 40%.

Comparative StudyIntravoxel Incoherent Motion Diffusion-Weighted Imaging Versus Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging: Comparison of the Diagnostic Performance of Perfusion-Related Parameters in Breast.
The aim of this study was to investigate the diagnostic performance of the perfusion-related parameters of intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) imaging for breast lesions, compared with dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE MRI). ⋯ Intravoxel incoherent motion imaging has the same value in differentiating malignant and benign breast lesions, compared with DCE MRI, in terms of perfusion-related parameters.
