Comparative StudyConspicuity of normal and pathologic female pelvic anatomy: comparison of gadolinium-enhanced T1-weighted images and fast spin echo T2-weighted images.
Our goal was to compare the conspicuity of normal and pathologic female pelvic anatomy between gadolinium-enhanced T1-weighted images and fast SE (FSE) T2-weighted images. ⋯ Conspicuity of both normal and pathologic anatomy was significantly decreased on enhanced T1-weighted images. The use of gadolinium cannot replace T2-weighted scans for delineation of anatomy and disease and should be reserved to cases in which standard imaging sequences are not sufficiently diagnostic.

Evaluation of the air bronchogram sign on CT in solitary pulmonary lesions.
Our goal was to evaluate the presence and the significance of the air bronchogram sign in solitary pulmonary lesions (SPL) on CT. ⋯ The CT air bronchogram sign in SPL is significantly more common in malignant than in benign lesions. The sign is seen in all lung cancer cell types and demonstrates varied bronchial morphology.

Improving the diagnostic accuracy of MR in the detection of infraspinatus tendon injuries.
Our goal was to determine the accuracy of MRI in the diagnosis of infraspinatus tendon injury and more specifically to determine if the antero-posterior extent of a rotator cuff tear is predictive of infraspinatus tearing. ⋯ The axial angle and the number of oblique coronal images in which signal abnormality was present were significantly related to a higher incidence of infraspinatus tears.

Calcifying fibrous pseudotumor of pleura: radiologic features in three cases.
Our goal was to describe the radiologic features of calcifying fibrous pseudotumor (CEPT) of pleura. ⋯ CFPTs of pleura are rare lesions that manifest as calcified pleural masses in young adults.
