Vessel-Masked Perfusion Magnetic Resonance Imaging With Histogram Analysis Improves Diagnostic Accuracy for the Grading of Glioma.
Dynamic susceptibility contrast magnetic resonance imaging is widely used to assess glioma grade; histogram analyses are used for precise tumor perfusion evaluations. We evaluated the effect of vessel contamination in normalized cerebral blood volume (nCBV) to differentiate high- and low-grade gliomas. ⋯ Vessel-masked nCBV maps can prevent overestimations of CBV measurements and can improve diagnostic accuracy for glioma grading.

Measurement of Myocardial Extracellular Volume Fraction From Iodine Density Images Using Single-Source, Dual-Energy Computed Tomography: A Feasibility Study.
The aims of this study were to develop and validate an iodine density method for the quantification of myocardial extracellular volume (ECV) fraction using single-source, dual-energy computed tomography. ⋯ Extracellular volume analysis using iodine density is a useful tool for the noninvasive quantification of ECV in myocardial diseases.

Sternal Development and Variations and Anomalies in Patients With Microtia: Evaluation Using 3-Dimensional Computed Tomography.
The objectives of this study were to evaluate sternal development and variations in patients with microtia and to identify the incidence of congenital sternal anomalies and then to investigate the interaction between microtia and sternal anomalies. ⋯ The development of the different components of the sternum is a process with wide variation among patients with microtia. A different distribution of mesosternal types I to II among our population age range was found, and the incidence of sternal foramina was lower in patients with microtia.

High-Resolution Diffusion-Weighted Imaging Improves the Diagnostic Accuracy of Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced Sinonasal Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
The aim of the study was to evaluate the incremental value of high-resolution diffusion-weighted imaging and apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) mapping compared with that of dynamic contrast-enhanced (DCE) sinonasal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the characterization of benign versus malignant sinonasal tumors at 3.0T. ⋯ High-resolution DWI with ADC mapping significantly improved the diagnostic accuracy of dynamic contrast-enhanced sinonasal MRI at 3.0T. In addition, ADC values could distinguish benign lesions from malignant tumors in washout enhancement TICs.

Case ReportsMultidetector Computed Tomography Evaluation of Mesenteric Venous Thrombosis Following Laparoscopic Bariatric Surgery.
The purpose of this study is to review multidetector computed tomography (CT) imaging findings of mesenteric venous thrombosis occurring following bariatric surgery. To our knowledge, this complication has not been described in the radiologic literature. ⋯ Mesenteric venous thrombosis is an increasingly recognized complication of laparoscopic bariatric surgery. Awareness demands that postbariatric surgery patients with acute abdominal pain be studied with intravenous contrast material.
