The authors have developed pretrained machine learning (ML) models to evaluate neonatal head shape deformities using top-down and facial orthogonal photographs of the patient's head. In previous preliminary analysis, this approach was tested with images from an open-source data bank. ⋯ Machine learning-driven image analysis represents a promising strategy for the identification of craniosynostosis in a real-world practice setting. This approach has potential to reduce the need for imaging and facilitate referral by primary care providers.

Data regarding the safety and effectiveness of stent placement in small vessels (<2 mm in diameter) for treating wide-necked cerebral aneurysms are limited. ⋯ Stent-assisted coil embolization for unruptured cerebral aneurysms using stents, especially the Neuroform Atlas, in small arteries <2 mm in diameter is effective and feasible, but careful perioperative attention should be given to thrombotic events during the embolization of middle cerebral artery aneurysms.

Congress of Neurological Surgeons Systematic Review and Evidence-Based Guidelines on the Management of Progressive Glioblastoma in Adults: Update of the 2014 Guidelines.
The Institute of Medicine best practice recommendation to review guidelines every 5 years is followed by the Congress of Neurological Surgeons Guidelines Committee. The aim of this work was to provide an updated literature review and evidence-based recommendations on the topic of diagnosis and treatment of patients with progressive glioblastoma (pGBM). ⋯ Recent published literature provides new recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment of pGBM. Retreatment of Residual and Recurrent Aneurysms After Embolization With the Woven EndoBridge Device: Multicenter Case Series.
The Woven EndoBridge (WEB) device (Terumno Corp. [parent company of Microvention]) was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as the first intrasaccular device for intracranial aneurysm treatment in December 2018. Its use has become more common since then, but both trial results and postmarket experiences have raised questions about the efficacy in achieving complete aneurysm obliteration. Retreatment after WEB embolization has not been extensively discussed. ⋯ WEB retreatments were successfully performed by a variety of techniques, including stent-assisted coiling, clipping, and flow diversion as the most common. These procedures were performed safely with subsequent obliteration of most aneurysms. The potential need for retreatment of aneurysms should be considered during primary WEB treatments.

Clinical Characteristics, Outcomes, and Pathology Analysis in Patients With Dorsal Arachnoid Web.
Dorsal arachnoid webs (DAWs) are rare pathological abnormalities of the arachnoid layer of the spinal cord that can result in pain and myelopathy. ⋯ DAW is a rare pathology that can result in myelopathy or inappropriate interventions if misdiagnosed. Surgical intervention using laminectomy with intradural exploration should be considered in symptomatic patients with DAW because it is curative with a strong chance of preoperative symptom resolution with relatively low complication rates.
