Nurses' perceptions and experiences with end-of-life communication and care.
To characterize oncology nurses' attitudes toward care at the end of life (EOL) and their experiences in caring for terminally ill patients, hospice discussions with patients and families, and the use of palliative care practices. ⋯ Strategies to enable nurses to have a stronger voice during this critical time for their patients are needed and, when developed, supported in practice to ensure that they are used.

To assess the validity of neuropathy and neuropathic pain-measurement approaches. ⋯ Comprehensive neuropathy and pain measures mainly used by researchers and neurologists were simplified to more clinically useful tools for use by nurses when monitoring chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy.

Identification of latent classes in patients who are receiving biotherapy based on symptom experience and its effect on functional status and quality of life.
to identify subgroups of patients receiving biotherapy with pain, fatigue, sleep disturbance, and depression and to determine functional status and quality of life differences between subgroups. ⋯ clinicians should assess and identify patients with severe levels of the four prevalent symptoms and offer appropriate interventions. Future study is needed to investigate the factors that contribute to symptom severity and to examine the occurrence of symptom clusters that may place patients at increased risk for poorer outcomes.
