Comparative StudyBilateral forearm intravenous regional anesthesia with prilocaine for botulinum toxin treatment of palmar hyperhidrosis.
Treatment of palmar hyperhidrosis with botulinum toxin (BTX) requires effective anesthesia, but previous methods have not provided enough pain relief or have resulted in a prolonged impaired hand function. ⋯ Bilateral forearm intravenous regional anesthesia provides an effective and well-tolerated anesthesia during BTX treatment of palmar hyperhidrosis.

Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study Comparative StudyEfficacy and safety of adalimumab across subgroups of patients with moderate to severe psoriasis.
The phase III randomized controlled evaluation of adalimumab every other week dosing in moderate to severe psoriasis trial (REVEAL) demonstrated adalimumab induced significant improvements and was well tolerated for patients with moderate to severe psoriasis. ⋯ Treatment of moderate to severe psoriasis with adalimumab led to consistent 75% or greater improvement in PASI score response rates across the majority of patient subgroups, with no significant differences in serious adverse events.

Comparative StudyRevisiting nephrogenic systemic fibrosis in 6 kidney transplant recipients: a single-center experience.
Nephrogenic systemic fibrosis (NSF) is a fibrotic disorder occurring in patients with renal dysfunction. Exposure to gadolinium (Gd)-based contrast agents (GBCAs) during renal impairment is associated with development of NSF. ⋯ NSF can develop in kidney transplant recipients with altered graft function. In these patients, exposure to GBCAs appears associated with development of NSF. The role of beta-blockers in the course of the disease merits further investigation.
