Meta AnalysisDiagnostic accuracy of CT angiography and CT perfusion for cerebral vasospasm: a meta-analysis.
In recent years, the role of CTA and CTP for vasospasm diagnosis in the setting of ASAH has been the subject of many research studies. The purpose of this study was to perform a meta-analysis of the diagnostic performance of CTA and CTP for vasospasm in patients with ASAH by using DSA as the criterion standard. ⋯ The high diagnostic accuracy determined for both CTA and CTP in this meta-analysis suggests that they are potentially valuable techniques for vasospasm diagnosis in ASAH. Awareness of these results may impact patient care by providing supportive evidence for more effective use of CTA and CTP imaging in ASAH.

CT-guided cervical selective nerve root block with a dorsal approach.
Cervical transforaminal blocks are frequently performed to treat cervical radicular pain. These blocks are performed mostly under fluoroscopy, but a CT-guided technique has also been described. The aim of this study was to review the results of CT-guided CSNRB by using a dorsal approach, to describe the contrast patterns achieved with this injection technique, and to estimate the degree of specificity and sensitivity. ⋯ We conclude that CT-guided CSNRBs using a dorsal approach are feasible and that they are sensitive and specific.

Cervical and intracranial arterial anomalies in 70 patients with PHACE syndrome.
Cerebral and cervical arterial abnormalities are the most common non-cutaneous anomaly in PHACE syndrome, but the location and type of arterial lesions that occur have not been systematically assessed in a large cohort. Our aim was to characterize the phenotypic spectrum of arteriopathy, assess the frequency with which different arteries are involved, and evaluate spatial relationships between arteriopathy, brain structural lesions, and hemangiomas in PHACE syndrome. ⋯ The arteriopathy of PHACE syndrome commonly involves the ICA and its embryonic branches, ipsilateral to the cutaneous hemangioma, with dysgenesis and abnormal arterial course the most commonly noted abnormalities. Brain abnormalities are also typically ipsilateral.

Therapeutic trial of fluoroscopic interlaminar epidural steroid injection for axial low back pain: effectiveness and outcome predictors.
An ESI for managing LBP is one of the most commonly performed interventions. The purpose of this observational study was to assess the effect of a therapeutic trial of a fluoroscopic interlaminar ESI for axial LBP and to analyze the outcome predictors. ⋯ The therapeutic trial of a fluoroscopic interlaminar ESI was effective for axial LBP without significant outcome predictors.
