To assess the value of PET/MRI with [(18)F]-FDG using a whole body protocol for the depiction and characterization of liver lesions in comparison to PET/CT. ⋯ PET/MRI, even in the setting of a whole body approach, provides higher lesion conspicuity and diagnostic confidence compared to PET/CT and may therefore evolve as an attractive alternative in oncologic imaging.

Sonography has been used successfully to evaluate a number of musculoskeletal disorders. The method is operator dependent and familiarity with sonographic pitfalls greatly improves diagnostic accuracy and helps to optimize management. In this article, we discuss ten common pitfalls which can become a source of confusion and misdiagnosis in musculoskeletal sonography.

Comparison of PET-CT and magnetic resonance diffusion weighted imaging with body suppression (DWIBS) for initial staging of malignant lymphomas.
To evaluate the clinical impact of diffusion-weighted whole-body imaging with background body signal suppression (DWIBS) in staging of malignant lymphoma. ⋯ For malignant lymphoma in a pre-therapeutic context, agreement between diffusion-weighted whole-body imaging and PET/CT is high for Ann Arbor staging.

The purpose of this study was to compare diagnostic capabilities for assessment of recurrence in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients by contrast-enhanced whole-body MRI (CE-WB-MRI) with and without CE-Quick 3D and double RF fat suppression technique (DFS), FDG-PET/CT and conventional radiological examinations. ⋯ Specificity and accuracy of CE-WB-MRI with CE-Quick 3D and DFS for assessment of recurrence in NSCLC patients are at least as high as, or higher than those of others.

To assess the feasibility of non-Gaussian DWI as part of a FDG-PET/MRI protocol in patients with histologically proven non-small cell lung cancer. ⋯ Simultaneous PET and non-Gaussian diffusion acquisitions are feasible. Non-Gaussian diffusion parameters show a good correlation with SUV and might provide additional information beyond monoexponential ADC, especially as non-Gaussian diffusion exhibits better mathematical fitting to the decay of the diffusion signal than monoexponential DWI.
