To evaluate the economic impact of integrating coronary CT angiography (cCTA) or whole chest "triple-rule-out" CTA (TRO-CTA) in the work-up of patients with acute chest pain. ⋯ Integrating cCTA or TRO-CTA in a SOC algorithm can safely reduce the number of hospitalized patients and reduce total health care costs.

To retrospectively investigate whether uterine fibroids with hyperintense on pretreatment T2-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) could be treated with ultrasound-guided high intensity focused ultrasound (USgHIFU). ⋯ Based on our results, the heterogeneous and markedly homogeneous hyperintense fibroids were suitable for USgHIFU, and only the slightly homogeneous hyperintense fibroids should be excluded.

Imaging differentiation of pathologic fractures caused by primary and secondary bone tumors.
To describe pre-treatment imaging features of pathologic fractures caused by primary bone tumors (PBTs) and metastatic bone tumors (MBTs) and determine if radiographic or cross-sectional features can differentiate the underlying pathologies associated with the fractures. ⋯ Pathologic fractures caused by PBT and MBT may be differentiated by a few specific radiographic and CT imaging features, though MRI was poor for characterization of the underlying lesion. Such knowledge may assist radiologists in raising the possibility of a PBT as the cause of a pathologic fracture.

Microwave ablation is a minimally invasive technique that has been used to treat benign and malignant tumors of liver, lung and kidney. Towards thyroid nodules, only a few cases are reported so far. The aim of the study was to investigate the effectiveness and safety of ultrasound-guided percutaneous microwave ablation in the treatment of benign thyroid nodules with a large sample. ⋯ Microwave ablation seems to be a safe and effective technique for the treatment of benign thyroid nodules. Further prospective randomized studies are needed to define the role of the procedure in the treatment of thyroid nodules.
