To report our experience of combined CT- and fluoroscopy-guided nephrostomy in patients with non-obstructive uropathy due to urine leaks in cases of failed ultrasound-guided procedures. ⋯ Combined CT- and fluoroscopy-guided nephrostomy in patients with non-obstructive uropathy due to urine leaks in cases of failed ultrasound-guided procedures was feasible with high technical success and a tolerable complication rate.

To evaluate the role, efficacy and safety of pelvic embolization in the management of severe postpartum hemorrhage in women with placenta accreta, increta or percreta. ⋯ In women with severe postpartum hemorrhage due to placenta accreta, increta or percreta, pelvic embolization is effective for stopping the bleeding in most cases, thus allowing uterine conservation and future fertility. Further studies, however, should be done to evaluate the potential of pelvic embolization in women with placenta percreta with bladder involvement.

The embolic agents currently used for the treatment of AVMs are n-butyl cyanoacrylate (NBCA) and ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (ONYX). The purpose of this study was to examine the overall NBCA and ONYX embolization-related complication rate. ⋯ Embolization of brain AVMs is safe, 95.9% of patients had excellent or good outcomes at discharge after AVM embolization using liquid embolic agents, with a complication rate of 4.8%. ONYX embolization was not associated a higher rate of complications comparing with NBCA embolization.

Comparison of carotid and cerebrovascular disease between diabetic and non-diabetic patients using dual-source CT.
To clarify the differences of the carotid and cerebrovascular disease between patients with and without type 2 diabetes using dual-source CT angiography. ⋯ Diabetes is associated with a higher incidence of plaque and non-obstructive stenosis. However, no significant differences were observed in the type, extent and distribution of involved plaques between diabetic and non-diabetic patients.

Tracheal morphology and collapse in COPD: correlation with CT indices and pulmonary function test.
To assess the tracheal morphologic changes using CT in COPD (chronic obstructive lung disease) patients and to assess correlation between them and PFT (pulmonary function test) and CT parameters. ⋯ Among the tracheal morphologic changes, the most significant change in COPD patients compared with that in the control group, was the TI. In COPD patients, the tracheal morphologic change showed clinically significant correlation with severity of emphysema and CT indices.
