Review Meta Analysis
Accuracy and consequences of 3D-fluoroscopy in upper and lower extremity fracture treatment: a systematic review.
The aim of this systematic review was to compare the diagnostic accuracy, subjective image quality and clinical consequences of 3D-fluoroscopy with standard imaging modalities (2D-fluoroscopy, X-ray or CT) during reduction and fixation of intra-articular upper and lower extremity fractures. ⋯ Although subjective image quality is rated inferior compared to other imaging modalities, intra-operative use of 3D-fluoroscopy is a helpful diagnostic tool for improving the quality of reduction and implant position in intra-articular fractures.

Triple-rule-out dual-source CT angiography of patients with acute chest pain: dose reduction potential of 100 kV scanning.
To investigate the dose reduction potential of low kV triple-rule-out dual-source CT angiography (TRO-CTA) in non-obese (BMI ≤ 25 kg/m(2)) patients with acute chest pain. ⋯ TRO-CTA with 100 kV is feasible in non-obese patients and results in diagnostic image quality and significantly reduced radiation dose.

The hip and its disorders represent a clinical, diagnostic and therapeutic challenge greater than any other joints. Clinical symptoms are usually non specific and provocative maneuvers are sometimes unreliable, pain might be referred even from other joints and many times accurate assessment need imaging techniques. New surgical options, especially the latest development of hip arthroscopy has open horizons for treating intraarticular disorders. In this review article we will review basic clinical assessment and what we need as orthopeadic surgeons from radiology.

Clinical Trial
Prognostic factors related to clinical outcome following thrombectomy in ischemic stroke (RECOST study). 50 patients prospective study.
New thrombectomy devices allow successful and rapid recanalization in acute ischemic stroke. Nevertheless prognostics factors need to be systematically analyzed in the context of these new therapeutic strategies. The aim of this study was to analyze prognostic factors related to clinical outcome following Solitaire FR thrombectomy in ischemic stroke. ⋯ The MCA location was associated with the best clinical outcome. A DWI ASPECT cutoff score of 5 was reliable and safe. No correlation with time to recanalization was observed in this study. NIHSS and hyperglycemia at admission were the two factors independently associated with a bad outcome at 90 days.

To assess the image quality (IQ) of an iterative reconstruction (IR) technique (iDose(4)) from prospective electrocardiography (ECG)-triggered coronary computed tomography angiography (coronary CTA) on a 256-slice multi-detector CT (MDCT) scanner and determine the optimal dose reduction using IR that can provide IQ comparable to filtered back projection (FBP). ⋯ Iterative reconstruction techniques can provide 63% ED reduction in prospectively-triggered coronary CTA using 256-slice MDCT while maintaining excellent image quality.
