A traumatic hip dislocation in the pediatric patient is a rare but potentially catastrophic injury. The purpose of this study was to review our early clinical results and radiographic morphology of hips treated with a surgical hip dislocation (SHD) approach for intra-articular hip pathology resulting from traumatic instability in pediatric and adolescent patients. ⋯ Level IV.

It is our clinical suspicion that children with higher body mass index (BMIs) who are diagnosed with scoliosis tend to have larger curves on presentation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of BMI on severity of curve at initial presentation of adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. ⋯ Retrospective case-control-level III.

Skeletally immature children with ankle sprain are presumed to have distal fibula fracture than ligamentous injury.
