Meta Analysis
The analgesic effect of ketorolac addition for renal colic pain: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled studies.
The effect of ketorolac addition for the pain control of renal colic remains controversial. We conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to explore the analgesic efficacy of ketorolac addition for renal colic. ⋯ Ketorolac addition may improve the analgesic efficacy for renal colic pain.

Comparative Study
Predictors of clinically relevant differences between noninvasive versus arterial blood pressure.
Blood pressure (BP) measurements are important for managing patients with hypertensive emergencies (HE). Previous studies showed that there was significant difference between IABP and NIBP but no information whether these differences changed management. Our study investigated the factors associated with the differences affecting BP management of patients with HE. ⋯ There was a large difference between IABP and NIBP among patients with hypertensive emergencies. Up to 30% of patients had clinically relevant differences. Patients with sICH were more likely to have differences affecting BP management. Further studies are needed to confirm our observation.

Case Reports
Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome associated with Henoch Schonlein Purpura in a pediatric patient.
Henoch Schonlein Purpura is a rare hypersensitivity vasculitis that is commonly associated with pediatric patients. It typically presents with purpuric rash to the lower extremities, abdominal pain and microscopic hematuria; however, it may also be associated with intussusception, glomerulonephritis and hypertension. ⋯ Typically characterized by headaches, seizures, and visual changes, which is presumed to be associated with rapid increases in blood pressure. We present the case of a 6-year-old female who developed Posterior Reversible Encephalopathy Syndrome as a complication from Henoch Schonlein Purpura.

There are no emergent pharmaceutical interventions for acute suicidal ideation, a common presenting complaint in the ED. Ketamine is a NMDA agonist frequently used by ED physicians for sedation and analgesia. Prior evidence from studies conducted in inpatient psychiatry units suggests that ketamine may have a role in alleviating treatment-resistant depression as well as suicidal ideation. ⋯ Current evidence suggests that ketamine is a promising, safe potential intervention for acute suicidality in the ED. Convincing evidence for efficacy of ketamine for acute suicidal ideation remains lacking, and this promising potential intervention should be further investigated.

Meta Analysis
Intubation rate of patients with hypoxia due to COVID-19 treated with awake proning: A meta-analysis.
Awake prone positioning (PP), or proning, is used to avoid intubations in hypoxic patients with COVID-19, but because of the disease's novelty and constant evolution of treatment strategies, the efficacy of awake PP is unclear. We conducted a meta-analysis of the literature to assess the intubation rate among patients with COVID-19 requiring oxygen or noninvasive ventilatory support who underwent awake PP. ⋯ Our study demonstrated an intubation rate of 28% among hypoxic patients with COVID-19 who underwent awake PP. Awake PP in COVID-19 is feasible and practical, and more rigorous research is needed to confirm this promising intervention.
