To evaluate the rate of supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) termination between 6 mg and 12 mg initial adenosine doses. ⋯ A higher rate of SVT termination was observed with an initial adenosine dose of 12 mg in the ED in comparison to the guideline recommended dose of 6 mg. There were no significant differences in adverse effects observed.

Ectopic pregnancy is a serious condition that can have significant morbidity and mortality. ⋯ Knowledge of the latest advances in managing ectopic pregnancy will help clinicians more quickly and accurately diagnose patients presenting with this potentially fatal condition.

To analyze the clinical characteristics, surgical management decisions, and outcomes of Neonatal testicular torsion (NTT) in order to offer guidance for future clinical practice. ⋯ NTT primarily occurs prenatally with insidious manifestations, often leading to omission or misdiagnosis. The testicular salvage rate is extremely low. Physicians need to attach importance to neonatal testicular examination, improve the vigilance of NTT. Early bilateral exploration does not necessarily save the affected testes, but it is more important to prevent damage to the contralateral one.

Despite advancements in antimicrobial therapies, bacteremia remains a life-threatening condition. Appropriate antimicrobials must be promptly administered to ensure patient survival. However, diagnosing bacteremia based on blood cultures is time-consuming and not something emergency department (ED) personnel are routinely trained to do. ⋯ The ML models developed effectively predicted bacteremia among febrile or hypothermic patients in the ED, with all models demonstrating high AUROC values and rapid processing times. The findings suggest that ED clinicians can effectively utilize ML techniques to develop predictive models for addressing clinical challenges.
