Effectiveness of an Obstetrics-Based Advanced Cardiac Life Support Education Program.
To study the effectiveness of an obstetrics-based advanced cardiac life support education (ACLS OB) program with pre- and postcourse maternal mock code drills and surveys evaluating satisfaction and self-confidence in abilities of labor and delivery (L&D) nurses to perform ACLS algorithms. ⋯ Emphasizing changes in ACLS for obstetric patients during the precourse and using patient scenarios encountered in obstetric settings improved nurses' performance in maternal MegaCode scenarios. The course also increased self-satisfaction and self-confidence of obstetric nurses in their ability to perform ACLS algorithms.

Improving Human Milk and Breastfeeding Practices in the NICU.
To determine if systematic implementation of the Spatz Ten Steps for Promoting and Protecting Breastfeeding for Vulnerable Infants (Ten Steps) would result in an improvement in the percentage of infants receiving mother's own milk (MOM) at initiation of feedings and at hospital discharge. ⋯ Implementation of the Ten Steps method using QI methodology resulted in significantly improved rates of use of MOM at initiation of feeds and at hospital discharge.

To evaluate the efficacy of cobedding on twin coregulation and twin safety. ⋯ Cobedding promotes self-regulation and sleep and decreases crying without apparent increased risk.

Reproductive coercion and partner violence among college women.
To examine reproductive coercion and partner violence among college women. ⋯ Pregnancy coercion and birth control sabotage occur among college women, and higher rates were reported among women with histories of partner violence. In addition to screening and counseling for partner violence, college health providers should assess for reproductive coercion and tailor contraceptive counseling discussions accordingly.
