The aim of the present work was to validate and optimize adiabatic T1ρ and T2ρ mapping for in vivo measurements of articular cartilage at 3 Tesla (T). ⋯ The findings indicate that sequences are suitable for quantitative in vivo assessment of articular cartilage at 3 T. Parallel imaging and partial Fourier acquisition are two classical approaches for accelerated MRI. Methods that combine these approaches often rely on prior knowledge of the image phase, but the need to obtain this prior information can place practical restrictions on the data acquisition strategy. In this work, we propose and evaluate SENSE-LORAKS, which enables combined parallel imaging and partial Fourier reconstruction without requiring prior phase information. ⋯ The SENSE-LORAKS framework provides promising new opportunities for highly accelerated MRI. Although three-dimensional (3D) turbo spin echo (TSE) with variable flip angles has proven to be useful for intracranial vessel wall imaging, it is associated with inadequate suppression of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) signals and limited spatial coverage at 3 Tesla (T). This work aimed to modify the sequence and develop a protocol to achieve whole-brain, CSF-attenuated T1 -weighted vessel wall imaging. ⋯ The new 3D TSE sequence allows for high-quality T1 -weighted intracranial vessel wall imaging at 3 T. It may potentially aid in depicting small arteries and revealing T1 -mediated high-signal wall abnormalities. Fitting methods for intravoxel incoherent motion imaging of prostate cancer on region of interest level: Repeatability and gleason score prediction.
To evaluate different fitting methods for intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) imaging of prostate cancer in the terms of repeatability and Gleason score prediction. ⋯ Monoexponential model demonstrated the highest repeatability and clinical values in the regions-of-interest based analysis of prostate cancer DWI, b-values in the range of 0-500 s/mm2 . To implement pulmonary three-dimensional (3D) radial ultrashort echo-time (UTE) MRI in non-sedated, free-breathing neonates and adults with retrospective motion tracking of respiratory and intermittent bulk motion, to obtain diagnostic-quality, respiratory-gated images. ⋯ Three-dimensional radial pulmonary UTE MRI allows for retrospective respiratory self-gating and removal of intermittent bulk motion in free-breathing, non-sedated neonates and adults.
