To develop a motion-robust wave-encoding technique for highly accelerated free-breathing abdominal MRI. ⋯ The proposed methods can reduce motion artifacts and improve overall image quality of highly accelerated free-breathing abdominal MRI. The goal of this study was to develop a 3D acceleration and reconstruction method to improve image quality and resolution of background-suppressed arterial spin-labeled perfusion MRI. ⋯ The 3D acceleration and reconstruction allow a rapid whole-brain readout that improved the quality of ASL perfusion imaging. Glutathione (GSH) is an important intracellular antioxidant in the brain. A number of studies report its measurement by localized 1 H spectroscopy using PRESS and STEAM. This study evaluates the reliability and accuracy of GSH measurements from PRESS at 3 Tesla (T) and compares the results to those obtained with MEGA-PRESS. ⋯ Due to uncertainties in GSH quantification raised by the study, the authors conclude that physiological concentrations (<4 mM) of GSH cannot be reliably quantified from PRESS (TE = 35 ms) spectra at 3 T. To improve the accuracy and robustness to noise in water-fat separation by unifying the multiscale and graph cut based approaches to B0 -correction. ⋯ The proposed 3D multi-scale QPBO algorithm offers accurate water-fat separation, robustness to noise, and fast reconstruction. The software implementation is freely available to the research community. Magn Reson Med 78:941-949, 2017. © 2016 International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine.

To investigate retrospective respiratory gating of three-dimensional ultrashort echo time (3D UTE) lung acquisition in free-breathing rats using k-space center self gating signal (DC-SG) and 3D image-based SG (3D-Img-SG). ⋯ Low-resolution 3D GRASP reconstruction allowed for extraction of an effective gating signal for 3D-Img-SG. The DC-SG method did not work in cases for which respiratory frequencies were inconsistent. Magn Reson Med 78:739-745, 2017. © 2016 International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine.
