To develop an electrical properties tomography (EPT) technique that can provide in vivo electrical conductivity and permittivity images of biological tissue without performing complex-valued radiofrequency field measurements. ⋯ Human brain and phantom EP images suggest that water content is a dominating factor in determining the electrical properties of tissues. Despite possible literature inaccuracies, the proposed method offers EP maps that can provide complementary information to current approaches, to facilitate EPT scans in clinical applications. To develop four-dimensional (4D) respiratory time-resolved MRI based on free-breathing acquisition of radial MR data with very high undersampling. ⋯ 4D joint MoCo-HDTV enables time-resolved image reconstruction of free-breathing radial MR data with undersampling factors of 16.8 while achieving low-streak artifact levels and high image sharpness. To test the efficacy of 7T MRS for in vivo detection of 2-hydroxyglutarate (2HG) in brain tumors. ⋯ Data indicate that the optimized MRS provides good selectivity of 2HG from other metabolite signals and may confer reliable in vivo detection of 2HG at relatively low concentrations. To demonstrate the use of anatomic MRI-visible three-dimensional (3D)-printed phantoms and to assess process accuracy and material MR signal properties. ⋯ Current 3D printing technology can be used to print anatomically accurate phantoms that can be imaged by both CT and MRI. Such models can be used to simulate MRI-guided interventions such as cryosurgeries. Future development of the proposed technique can potentially lead to printed models that depict different tissues and anatomical structures with different MR signal characteristics. To test whether susceptibility imaging can detect microvenous oxygen saturation changes, induced by hyperoxia, in the rat brain. ⋯ These findings suggest that a quantitative susceptibility map is a promising technique for SvO2 measurement. This method may be useful for quantitatively investigating oxygenation-dependent functional MRI studies.
