Fluoroscopically guided interlaminar needle for lumbar disc herniation: a series of 43 patients.
Lumbar disc herniation (LDH) is the most common cause of back and leg pain. We developed a specially designed needle and a minimally invasive interventional procedure to treat LDH. ⋯ None.

Clinical outcome and survival in 30 pulmonary hypertension patients with high severity indices and advanced functional class.
Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is an idiopathic or secondary disorder associated with many systemic illnesses. Long-term survival in PH depends on the severity and functional class. Several new drugs are now available to treat PH, but their impact on clinical outcome and survival are not well established. ⋯ None.

We encountered an extremely rare case where a patient with cat eye syndrome (CES) who presented with symptoms of posterior semicircular canal dehiscence (PSCD). CES is a rare genetic disorder, resulting from duplication of chromosome 22. Patients may present with variable phenotypes, including characteristic of coloboma, heart defect, periauricular skin pit/tag, microtia, anal atresia and mildly retarded mental development in some cases. ⋯ In this study, we report a new otologic finding in CES patient as an association of PSCD and high jugular pulp. We describe the work up and its findings and the management of this patient. SIMILAR CASES PUBLISHED:: None.

Human papillomaviruses (HPVs) are small, non-enveloped, double-stranded DNA viruses that consist of more than 200 genotypes. Low-risk genotypes are associated with warts or benign lesions, whereas high-risk genotypes are usually associated with malignancies and cancers including cervical cancer. However, the real prevalence and incidence of HPV in Saudi Arabia may be understated due to a lack of comprehensive data reporting. ⋯ Single hospital and a convenience sample CONFLICT OF INTEREST: None.
