Multicenter StudyAssessment of opioid administration patterns following lower extremity fracture among opioid-naïve inpatients: retrospective multicenter cohort study.
Prescribing habits during admission have largely contributed to the opioid epidemic. Orthopedic surgeons represent the third-highest opioid-prescribing specialty. Since more than half of body fractures in Saudi Arabia have been lower extremity fractures, it is imperative to understand opioid administration patterns and correlates among opioid-naïve inpatients. ⋯ None.

ReviewThe prevalence of strabismus and visual outcomes in children with hydrocephalus and a ventriculoperitoneal shunt: medical record review.
Many ophthalmological complications have been associated with hydrocephalus (HC), including ocular motility disorders, visual field defects, optic atrophy, and loss of visual acuity. No studies have investigated the prevalence of strabismus and visual outcomes of children with congenital HC after ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt in Saudi Arabia. ⋯ None.

Incidence of pediatric rigid esophagoscopy for foreign body removal before and after coin currency implementation in Saudi Arabia in 2017.
Foreign body (FB) ingestion is a common problem in children, which can lead to severe complications. Coins are the most common FB ingested. Since coin currency was recently implemented in Saudi Arabia, we decided to assess whether any changes have occurred in the incidence of FB removal by esophagoscopy. ⋯ None.
