To establish the prognostic factors and outcomes of patients with pudendal neuralgia (PN). ⋯ A mixed analgesic ladder for chronic pain showed improvement in 73% of the patients with PN. Pain restricted to the dorsal clitoris nerve and small fibers in the S2-S4 dermatome were classified as bad prognostic factors. A longer duration of pain was also correlated with a worse prognosis.

Co-bedding Between Preterm Twins Attenuates Stress Response Following Heel Lance: Results of a Randomized Trial.
To examine the effect of co-bedding between preterm twins on stress response after heel lance. ⋯ Co-bedding attenuates the stress response of preterm twins undergoing heel lance.

Randomized Controlled Trial Meta Analysis
Single-dose Intra-articular Bupivacaine Versus Morphine After Arthroscopic Knee Surgery: A Meta-analysis of Randomized Controlled Studies.
This meta-analysis compared the earliest clinical effects of intra-articular bupivacaine and morphine for pain management following arthroscopic knee surgery. ⋯ Level II-meta-analysis of Level I and II studies.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Effect of modulated-frequency and modulated-intensity transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation after abdominal surgery: a randomized controlled trial.
This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) for treatment of postoperative pain and pulmonary functions (vital capacity [VC]; cough peak flow, [CPF]) in patients who underwent abdominal surgery. ⋯ TENS is a valuable treatment to alleviate postoperative pain and improve pulmonary functions (ie, VC, CPF) in patients following abdominal surgery.

Activity pacing is a common intervention for patients with chronic pain. Over the past decade a number of instruments have been developed to measure this construct, but their comparative psychometric properties have not been examined. ⋯ Current measures of activity pacing are inadequate. New measures are needed that are based on specific theoretical models; these measures should also make the goal or intent of pacing behaviors explicit. Improvements in the assessment of activity pacing will likely lead to a better understanding of the pacing construct and the effects of pacing interventions.
