To examine the real-world incidence and management of select adverse events (AEs) among female patients with hormone receptor positive (HR+), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HER2-) metastatic breast cancer (MBC), receiving a cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6 (CDK4 and 6) inhibitor (palbociclib, abemaciclib, or ribociclib). ⋯ This real-world study provides insight into the occurrence of AEs which varied by CDK4 and 6 inhibitor. Compared to clinical trials, frequencies of AEs were numerically lower but dose reductions due to AEs were numerically higher. It is possible these differences reflect proactive management of AEs on the part of clinicians to help patients remain on therapy.

The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between maternal obesity and fetal umbilical arterial pH in a cohort of parturients that received a prophylactic phenylephrine infusion for management of spinal anesthesia induced hypotension during cesarean delivery. ⋯ Maternal BMI is not associated with lower umbilical arterial pH in women having scheduled cesarean delivery under spinal anesthesia. Severity of spinal anesthesia induced hypotension is greater with increasing BMI and may be responsible for the observed decrease in umbilical arterial pH.

Characterizing real world safety profile of oral Janus kinase inhibitors among adult atopic dermatitis patients: evidence transporting from the rheumatoid arthritis population.
To address potential safety concerns of Janus Kinase Inhibitors (JAK-Is), we characterized their safety profile in the atopic dermatitis (AD) patient population. ⋯ We applied transportability methods to characterize the risk of the HOIs in the AD population and found absolute risks higher than that of the general population. Future work is needed to validate these conclusions in comparable populations.

This systematic literature review examines the current immune checkpoint inhibitors treatment paradigms, treatment gaps and unmet needs for treating SCLC with respect to efficacy, safety, health related quality of life (HRQoL) and cost-effectiveness. ⋯ Combining ICIs with chemotherapy enhanced OS and PFS as well as not worsening HRQoL. Among all ICIs, PD-L1 inhibitors showed better effectiveness. Future studies should focus on real-world settings and more clinical trials using ICIs for not only ES-SCLC but also LS-SCLC.

Estimate the annual cost of care in the 5 years following a cancer diagnosis for 17 invasive cancer types, by stage at diagnosis. ⋯ Beneficiaries diagnosed at later stages of cancer have higher costs of care (up to 7 times as much) than those diagnosed at earlier stages. Earlier cancer diagnosis may lead to more efficient treatment and decreased management cost.
