Multicenter Study
Symptomatic dermographism in Chinese population: an epidemiological study of hospital-based multicenter questionnaire survey.
There are few epidemiological studies on SD in China. This study aims to clarify the epidemic distribution characteristics of SD in China and provide ideas and clues for the prevention and treatment of the disease. ⋯ Environmental factors may affect the occurrence of SD, which may have a similar etiology to other types of urticaria and the cause of SD can be explored from more perspectives.

Globally, pharmacovigilance (PV) is crucial for the patient's safety and proper use of drugs. Spontaneous reporting of adverse drug reaction (ADR) is a professional obligation of every healthcare professionals (HCPs). The purpose of this systematic review was to analyze the existing literature about the knowledge, attitude, and practices (KAP) level of HCPs regarding PV and ADRs reporting in Turkey. ⋯ This systematic review revealed a major KAP gap in Turkey towards PV activities. Low ADR reporting practice of HCPs was a major identified issue. The creation of a mandatory unified PV education intervention for future HCPs to rationally report ADR of drugs are crucial for a better healthcare system.

In pediatric patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease renal parenchymal disease is infrequent. There are only two reports about the association between IgA Nephropathy and Pediatric Crohn Disease. IgA Nephropathy is a rather uncommon complication of Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha (TNF-α) inhibition. ⋯ Adalimumab was discontinued and the child has been treated with steroids for sixth months associated with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor resulted in clinical improvement over the following year and remission was maintained. To our knowledge the association of IgA Nephropathy and pediatric IBD during therapy with anti-TNF-α has never been reported. Careful monitoring of renal function, proteinuria, and autoantibodies is advised in patients treated with anti-TNF-α agents.

It is unclear whether 90-day supply fills with rivaroxaban result in better adherence and persistence compared to 30-day supply fills. We assessed patients' adherence and persistence to rivaroxaban at 12- and 24-months in nonvalvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) patients whose rivaroxaban prescriptions were filled every 30- vs. 90-days. ⋯ Dispensing 90-day supply fills with rivaroxaban appears to increase the proportion of patients achieving acceptable (PDC ≥80%) adherence as well as mean adherence compared to 30-day supply fills. Ninety-day rivaroxaban fills may also result in improved persistence vs. 30-day fills.

To investigate whether statin adherence (defined as proportion days covered, PDC) is associated with LDL-c response in statin initiators on standard and low starting doses of statins, and to detect a possible interaction with sex. ⋯ Adherence is significantly associated with LDL-c response to statins at follow-up. Sex appears to significantly modify this association. At a similar adherence level, women seem to experience a better LDL-c response to standard-dose statins compared to men in a real-world setting.
