Many related scales have been developed and applied to measure patients' medication adherence, but the research on the psychometric characteristics of the scale still requires further studies. This study aims to provide further validation of the GMAS scale by using Rasch analysis and to make targeted recommendations for scale improvement. ⋯ The GMAS was found to be useful as a screening tool for patients' medication adherence problems reported, except some issues to be addressed for further improvement of the scale.

To explore a non-routine method of oocyte retrieval in patients with difficulty in obtaining oocytes via the vagina during a cycle of in vitro fertilization (IVF)/intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)-embryo transfer (ET). ⋯ Transabdominal ovum retrieval guided by a vaginal ultrasound probe is a feasible, effective, and safe method for obtaining oocytes for patients who cannot retrieve eggs vaginally. In the clinical work of IVF/ICSI fertility, it is necessary to obtain a thorough medical history and assess the patient's condition before the cycle and conduct multidisciplinary consultation on difficult cases to improve the likelihood of pregnancy.

Sedation is common practice in endoscopic procedures to suppress a patient's level of consciousness while maintaining the cardio-respiratory function. Midazolam and propofol are the sedatives most frequently used for procedural sedation at hospitals in Scandinavia. Remimazolam is a new ultra-short-acting benzodiazepine sedative and the present analysis aimed at estimating the economic benefits of introducing remimazolam for procedural sedation in colonoscopies and bronchoscopies in hospitals in Scandinavia. ⋯ We found that procedural sedation with remimazolam was associated with economically meaningful savings compared to procedural sedation with midazolam and propofol in colonoscopies and to midazolam in bronchoscopies.

This study aimed to explore the clinical efficacy of different treatment regimens for idiopathic membranous nephropathy (IMN). ⋯ Timely change of treatment regimen can significantly enhance therapeutic effect. Compared with patients administered with CYC, those administered with CNIs were less likely to leave treatment and had a higher recurrence rate.

A considerable proportion of patients with moderate-to-severe ulcerative colitis (UC) treated with advanced therapies do not achieve remission, even after 1 year of treatment, and suboptimal response to advanced therapies is frequently observed in clinical practice. This study aimed to analyze clinical practice data in the United Kingdom (UK) and assess the rates of clinical remission and inadequate response with advanced therapies among patients with UC. ⋯ Nearly half of the patients did not achieve remission, and almost half of the included patients had an inadequate response within 1 year after treatment initiation. More effective therapies are needed to effectively treat UC.
