Families with a melanoma history are at risk of melanoma. Melanoma survival improves when people are aware of their risk and ways to modify it. We explored at-risk families' perceived risk communication from healthcare providers. ⋯ Providers should provide clear, comprehensive, accurate, and consistent messages about melanoma to persons at high risk; messages also convey competence and caring.

We evaluated the quality of oncology education in undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) training programs. ⋯ Oncology is underrepresented in current curriculums.

Increasing colorectal cancer (CRC) screening is a public health goal. We hypothesized that non-compliant, average risk women would demonstrate low levels of CRC knowledge and underestimate their CRC risk. ⋯ Knowledge alone is an inadequate stimulus of screening adherence.
