NutriQoL® (Nestlé Health Science, Vevay, Switzerland) is a questionnaire developed to assess the health-related quality-of-life (HRQoL) of patients with home enteral nutrition (HEN) irrespective of their underlying condition and route of administration. The aim of this work is assessing the questionnaire's reliability and responsiveness to change. ⋯ NutriQoL is a reliable and unique instrument to measure the HRQoL in HEN patients. NutriQoL detects changes in the health status of the patient. Nevertheless, further research is needed to determine the full extent of the questionnaire responsiveness.

Randomized Controlled TrialPharmacokinetics and Safety of Triple Therapy with Vonoprazan, Amoxicillin, and Clarithromycin or Metronidazole: A Phase 1, Open-Label, Randomized, Crossover Study.
Vonoprazan (TAK-438) is a novel potassium-competitive acid blocker that inhibits gastric H(+), K(+)-ATPase. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the influence of triple therapy with vonoprazan-amoxicillin-clarithromycin or vonoprazan-amoxicillin-metronidazole on the pharmacokinetics of each component of the triple therapies (primary) and to evaluate the safety and tolerability of vonoprazan-based triple therapies (secondary) in healthy adults. ⋯ Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd.

Comparative StudyComparative Analysis of Length of Stay and Inpatient Costs for Orthopedic Surgery Patients Treated with IV Acetaminophen and IV Opioids vs. IV Opioids Alone for Post-Operative Pain.
Recovery from orthopedic surgery is oriented towards restoring functional health outcomes while reducing hospital length of stay (LOS) and medical expenditures. Optimal pain management is a key to reaching these objectives. We sought to compare orthopedic surgery patients who received combination intravenous (IV) acetaminophen and IV opioid analgesia to those who received IV opioids alone and compared the two groups on LOS and hospitalization costs. ⋯ Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals.

Randomized Controlled TrialImpact of Treatment with Naloxegol for Opioid-Induced Constipation on Patients' Health State Utility.
Opioid-induced constipation (OIC) is the most common side effect of opioid treatment. Treatment for OIC typically involves a laxative. However, some patients have an inadequate response to these (laxative inadequate responders, or LIR). This has led to the development of treatments such as naloxegol. This analysis estimates the impact of naloxegol on the health state utility of LIR patients, examines if this utility impact is driven by the change in OIC status, and estimates the utility impact of relief of OIC. ⋯ AstraZeneca.

Cost-Effectiveness of Genotype 1 Chronic Hepatitis C Virus Treatments in Patients Coinfected with Human Immunodeficiency Virus in the United States.
New treatments for chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) are highly effective in patients coinfected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). This study estimated the cost-effectiveness of treatments for genotype 1 (GT1) HCV in HIV-coinfected patients. ⋯ In the GT1 HCV population coinfected with HIV, 3D ± R was cost-effective compared to NT, SOF + R, and SOF + PR. In the treatment-naïve sub-population, 3D ± R was cost-effective compared to NT and SOF/LDV.
