Comparative Study[Efficacy of the 6-minute walk test in evaluating ambulatory oxygen therapy].
To compare oxyhemoglobin saturation (SpO2) observed during the 6-minute walk test with that of pulse oximetry carried out during activities of daily living (ADLs). The efficacy of the 6-minute walk test for determining adequate oxygen flow to prevent arterial desaturation during ADLs was also analyzed. ⋯ The 6-minute walk test is an effective method for detecting desaturation during ADLs and for establishing the oxygen flow needed to correct exercise-induced desaturation.

Comparative Study[Cystic fibrosis in adults: inter- and intraobserver agreement for the Brasfield and Chrispin-Norman chest radiography scoring systems and correlation with clinical data and spirometry].
Most chest radiography scoring systems for patients with cystic fibrosis have been developed for children but are also used for adults. Our aim was to evaluate the intra- and interobserver variability of 2 radiographic scoring systems in adults with cystic fibrosis and to assess the correlation of these systems with clinical and spirometric parameters. ⋯ Assessment of chest radiographs of adult patients with cystic fibrosis by the Brasfield and Chrispin-Norman scoring systems shows good intra- and interobserver agreement. Both systems correlate well with lung function variables, especially FEV1.

[Assessment of behavioral dependence with the Glover-Nilsson test in smoking cessation treatment].
To assess behavioral dependence using the Glover-Nilsson test and determine its association with successful smoking cessation. ⋯ Severe behavioral dependence can result in less successful cessation outcome. All aspects related to dependence must be assessed to help select the most adequate pharmacological and psychological treatment for results to be optimized.
