Diagnostic Accuracy and Prognostic Relevance of Immunoglobulin Heavy Chain Rearrangement and 18F-FDG-PET/CT Compared With Unilateral Bone Marrow Trephination for Detecting Bone Marrow Involvement in Patients With Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma.
In diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), bone marrow involvement (BMI) has an important clinical implication as a component of staging and International Prognostic Index. This study aimed to determine whether molecular analysis of immunoglobulin heavy chain (IgH) genes and positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET/CT) could overcome the limitation of defining morphologic BMI by trephination biopsy and could increase the diagnostic accuracy or prognostic prediction. ⋯ This study suggests that the combined evaluation of PET/CT and IgH rearrangement could give additional information for predicting therapeutic outcomes in patients with negative morphologic BMI as an important part of the prognosis.

SARS-CoV-2 Delta Variant Breakthrough Infection and Onward Secondary Transmission in Household.
Despite the extraordinary speed of mass vaccination efforts, an outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) delta variant in a vaccinee with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) mRNA vaccine was identified in an adult day service center (ADSC) of Jeju, South Korea. The primary objective of this study was to investigate the epidemiologic features in infection-vulnerable facilities with a high vaccination rate of BNT162b2 mRNA COVID-19 vaccine. The second was to estimate the secondary transmission prevention effect of the vaccine in the household members by vaccination status. ⋯ We describe a SARS-CoV-2 delta variant outbreak in ADSC with high vaccine coverage rate, characterized by high infection rate, high transmissibility, and low clinical severity. The outbreak proceeded to unvaccinated or partially vaccinated household members, emphasizing the need for immunizing close contacts of high-risk groups.

Prevalence and Premature Mortality Statistics of Autism Spectrum Disorder Among Children in Korea: A Nationwide Population-Based Birth Cohort Study.
The aim of this study was to estimate the 8-year prevalence and mortality statistics of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) according to birth year (2002-2012). ⋯ The present study demonstrated that national-level prevalence and mortality statistics of ASD can be estimated effectively using claims data comprising newborns born each year and followed up for to the age of interest. Because this information is essential to establish evidence-based policies, health authorities need to consider producing epidemiological information of ASD continuously using the same methodology.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is generally asymptomatic or mild in otherwise healthy children, however, severe cases may occur. In this study, we report the clinical characteristics of children classified as critical COVID-19 in Korea to provide further insights into risk factors and management in children. ⋯ To develop appropriate policies for children in the COVID-19 pandemic, it is important to monitor and assess the clinical burden in this population.

Toggling Technique Allows Retrograde Early Release to Facilitate Neurovascular Bundle Sparing During Robot-Assisted Radical Prostatectomy: A Propensity Score-Matching Study.
This study aimed to present the surgical facilitation of neurovascular bundle (NVB) sparing using the toggling technique (30° lens down/up switching) and to evaluate erectile dysfunction (ED) recovery after robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP). ⋯ The retrograde early release with the toggling technique improves the facilitation of NVB sparing, leading to improved ED recovery.
