Effectiveness and Safety of Regdanvimab in Patients With Mild-To-Moderate COVID-19: A Retrospective Cohort Study.
Regdanvimab has decreased the time to clinical recovery from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and lowered the rate of oxygen therapy according to the results from phase 2/3 randomized controlled trial. More information is needed about the effects and safety of regdanvimab. ⋯ Regdanvimab was associated with a significantly lower risk of disease aggravation without increasing adverse reactions.

Multicenter StudyFasting and Non-Fasting Triglycerides in Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke.
Clinical implications of elevated fasting triglycerides (FTGs) and non-fasting triglycerides (NFTGs) in acute ischemic stroke (AIS) remain unknown. We aimed to elucidate the correlation and clinical significance of FTG and NFTG levels in AIS patients. ⋯ The fasting and non-fasting hypertriglyceridemia were prevalent in AIS patients and showed similar clinical characteristics and outcomes. High FTG and NFTG levels were not associated with occurrence of subsequent clinical events up to one year.

ReviewReview of Inhalation Health Risks Involving Chloromethylisothiazolinone (CMIT) and Methylisothiazolinone (MIT) Used as Disinfectants in Household Humidifiers.
The association between lung injury and exposure to humidifier disinfectant (HD) containing a mixture of chloromethylisothiazolinone (CMIT) and methylisothiazolinone (MIT) has been controversial in South Korea. This study conducts a literature review in order to evaluate the likelihood of CMIT/MIT reaching the lower part of the respiratory tract and causing lung injury. A literature review focused on the inhalation risk of HD containing a mixture of CMIT and MIT. ⋯ The types of CMIT and MIT dispersed into the air and deposited in the respiratory tract are assumed to be either gaseous substances or nanoparticles mixed with magnesium salts. The result of the literature review including clinical cases of lung injury among CMIT/MIT HD product users, demonstrated that these chemicals likely reach the lower respiratory tract and accordingly cause lung injury. A number of humidifier disinfectant-associated lung injury cases with clinical evidence should be prioritized in risk assessment of HD containing CMIT and MIT, even though there might be insufficient evidence in all related areas, including inhalation exposure assessment studies, animal testing, and epidemiological studies.

Long-Term Clinical and Radiological Outcomes of Minimally Invasive Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion: 10-Year Follow-up Results.
Many studies have reported that minimally invasive transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (MI-TLIF) provides satisfactory treatment comparable to other fusion methods. However, in the case of MI-TLIF, there are concerns about the long-term outcome compared to conventional bilateral PLIF due to the small amount of disc removal and the lack of autogenous bone graft. Long-term follow-up studies are still lacking as most of the previous reports have follow-up periods of up to 5 years. ⋯ MI-TLIF improved both clinical and radiological outcomes, and the improvements were maintained for up to 10 years after surgery. However, R-ASDeg developed in up to 50% of the patients within 10 years, and both leg pain on the VAS and the ODI were worse in patients with R-ASDeg.

Comparisons Between Normocalcemic Primary Hyperparathyroidism and Typical Primary Hyperparathyroidism.
Normocalcemic primary hyperparathyroidism (NPHPT) was first described in 2008. It is defined as consistently elevated serum parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels with normal serum calcium (sCa) concentration, after excluding secondary causes of PTH elevation. However, the exact definition and management strategy for NPHPT remain controversial. We retrospectively investigated the clinicopathological features and short-term outcomes of NPHPT patients. ⋯ We found that NPHPT may be a heterogeneous disease entity of PHPT with high rates of multi-gland disease, which appears to be biochemically milder but symptomatic. Intraoperative PTH monitoring might help increase the surgery success rate. Moreover, the short-term outcomes of NPHPT after surgery did not differ from that of TPHPT.
